Middle-ground. Upgrade your processor to the E7200, and upgrade your graphics card to the HD4850. Of course, that assumes your power supply is up to snuff for a card like that.RayvinAzn

OMG! I totally forgotten abt the PSU. That is going to set me back a few dollars. I gonna prepare for the future and go with a Quad-core.

I have no definite resolution, but i really want to play games at least at a resolution of 1440x900. My budget would be arnd $SGD640 which is abt $USD436. I'm using a nvidia geforce 8600GT.

I heard many of you guys saying that it is better to upgrade my graphics card than upgrading my processor.

I have a choice of processor upgrade or graphics card upgrade. But not both.

My processor is a Pentium D 2.8GHz. If i change my graphics card to a HD4870, would it bottleneck my processor?

In my opinion, upgrading my processor might give me a performance boost.

So, which 1?

Should I get COD:WAW on PC? or PS3?

On PC Pros: Better controls.

On PC Cons: Expected graphics to be low on my Comp. Just like COD4, with low settings.

On PS3 Pros: I get to play it on my 42" TV! Better Graphics than on PC.

On PS3 Cons: It is $10 more than PC's price.

I want to overclock a Q6600 to 3.2GHz. I was wondering is with this case: Case, with an added 3 120mm fans and thermal paste on the processor, will be able to prevent the processor from overheating?

Overrated: Grand Theft Auto IV + Metal Gear Solid 4. I mean, WTF? 10/10 for GTAIV and MGS4? Dats totally overrated. Since when was the last time GS gave a 10/10? That was in 19something. (If i'm not mistaken.)

Underrated: Too Human, Space Seige,Mercenaries 2. (Lol, i was planning for this game)

I have a Pentium D 2.8GHz CPU, 2GB ram, Nvidia 8600GT 256mb.

When I play Stalker Clear Sky, I lag all the time at the graphics setting of DirectX8 Renderer and settings to low, playing at a resolution of 1024x768.

It was totally different on Stalker Shadow Of Chernobyl. I lagged slightly at grapihcs settings of Medium an had HDR, playing at a resoultion of 1400x900

What is the problem here? Is Clear Sky more graphics intensive than SOC?

1st Qns:

I currently have an Acer F945PL Mainboard and a Pentium D processor. Is this motherboard able to support a Core 2 Duo processor?

2nd Qns:

Is there any other graphics card which is better or has the same performance than the Nvidia 8800GT and also cheaper? An 8800GT cost $200+ in my country.

I currently have a Pentium D 2.8GHz processor and a MSI Nvidia 8600GT.

In Call Of Duty 4, all graphics settings are set to off(Shadows, etc.), water detail set to low, texture settings set to auto with no AF, and resloution set to 1024x768.

My question is, If i change my Pentium D 2.8GHz processor, to a Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz, Will I be able to set the graphics settings higher?

First, the misc qn.

I have a broadband at home, which i'm currently using for my PC. So, i'm getting ready for my New PS3, and I was wondering If I am able to use my Broadband for the PS3 and my PC, If yes, how am I suppose to do it.

The PS3 Game Qn,

Its regarding Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock. I know that there are downloadable songs for Gh3, and I was wondering if the downloadable songs are free on the PS3, or would i need to pay with some kind of currency?
