The max amount I'm willing to spend is probably around 400 to 500 quid, and I'm buying most of the components from ebuyer.

Sapphire HD 4830 512MB GDDR3 Dual DVI HDTV Out PCI-E Graphics Card

Why not? It's twice as good as your HD 4670 and is within your budget range. Happy gaming!

Awesome, thanks a lot! Also thanks kaitanuvax, I'm happy with buying a dual core :)

Hi guys, I'm planning on building my first gaming rig, and I was wondering if I could have some pointers from the more tech savvy around here :)

I'm not completely retarded with computors, nor am I amazing, but I do have some knowledge of what's required.

I'm hoping to build a rig that's able to run the majority of todays games on high settings, but I don't really want to go on a spending spree on excessively powerful components.

I've been told by a friend that this computor, http://www.ebuyer.com/product/155472 would be good with begin with, although I plan to not use that version of Vista as my OS, my friend will be giving me an optimized version for gaming, and I do I trust his judgement, although further advice would be much appreciated.

I'm also planning on getting an ATI Sapphire HD 4670 512mb graphics card, is this a good choice for my price range? (the most I'm willing to spend on a card is about £100

The monitor I'd like to use, is a 26" Bush hdtv (which I will also hook up my 360 and PS3 to) as it has a PC input, the reason for this is because by just buying that, I will save about £200 on a monitor I'd have to buy as well.

If I missed anything, I'll update later, I'm a bit too tired to be posting this now, but ah well.

Thanks for any input.

[QUOTE="strangemouse"]

Hi all, I'm a bit of a newb and so this might be a dumb question, but I really want to get Bioshock but does it look/play better on the PC or PS3? My PC has an AMD Athlon 64 6000 3GHz processor, 4GB of RAM and 2x NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT. I am really more a PC gal *but* I have just spent lots of pennies on my PS3 and feel I really ought to get some more games for it!

So any thoughts? or does it really not make much difference.

Ta.

Dante_May_Die
PS3 wins it has a free DLC ;)

If you're talking about the Challange Rooms, they aren't free, in fact they're quite bloody expensive.

[QUOTE="Jared2720"][QUOTE="Rdiz"]No because PSN is a bare bones mediocre service and Capcom wont bother with it Rdiz
You do realize that Capcom has its own storefront in the Playstation Store, right? And PSN is a great service, considering it's totally free of charge and suffers from no more lag or downtime than other pay-services that shall go unnamed. Either way, to get back to TC's question, I do not believe we'll see RE5 available for purchase/download on PSN. I think Capcom's retail space on PSN is intended for smaller games or their remakes of older games. They'll continue to release "full" games on DVD and Blu-ray discs.

PSN is a bare bone crap service that Sony has to give away for free because no one will pay for it. Sony would love to charge but again they know no one would pay even a dollar a month for that crap You get what you pay for PSN Nothing for Nothing And thats why Capcom and most developers dont bother with it

HAHAHAA oh wait, you're trying to be serious Stop ignoring the previous posts, and stop being such a bloody annoying tw*t

worst. fanboy attempt. evarr.

thanks I appreciate that, teacher4tc
Apparently a sequel has been confirmed, and is in development, for which I am ultimately grateful because I bloody love the first one so much. I think once you beat the game you unlock the Level 6 Military Suit, 10 power nodes, about 70K credits and some concept art I think.

There needs to be more hardcore/metal music. Such as:

Parkway Drive, As Blood Runs Black, The Black Dahlia Murder.

Any songs from any of those bands would make me very happy.

JTruex
... yes YES! I will be so bloody happy if they include more metal songs in the next RB/GH game. In fact, why don't they just make a game revolving entirely around metal? That would be..amazing. I would very much like : Black Dahlia Murder, All That Remains (I know they're in GH2 and one of the RB games), Parkway Drive, Arch Enemy, Rammstein, Judas Priest (RB2) , Bullet for my Valentine, Avenged Sevonfold, At the Gates, Blood Stain Child, Children of Bodom, Devildriver, Killswitch Engage, Lamb of God, Slipknot, and maybe Ted Maul. I would **** my pants. (lol references)
