Windows Live is garbage.

Okay, so I just bought and installed Halo 2 for PC. When I try to sign into my gamertag I keep getting error messages

I keep getting this error : 0x80151906. I can't find anything about that code anywhere. Microsoft support is no help, same with Bungie.net.

After a solid 2 hours of trying Im ready to give up. Well, looks like another game to be added to my Never-going-to-play pile.

Edit : Now I get this error too : 0x80150010 :

Occasionally, an Xbox Live membership will fail to complete the Recover Gamertag from Xbox Live procedure during account migration (activating your Xbox Live membership for use with Xbox 360TM).

You'll know you're experiencing this problem if you receive an error message with the code 0x80150010. This error will prevent a connection to Xbox Live using Xbox 360.

To correct this, link your Xbox Live gamertag to a new Microsoft Passport Network account, which you can create right from the Xbox Dashboard on your Xbox 360 console. Microsoft

No idea why I get this message since Im using a PC, not the 360.

EDIT : 5 hours later, I still haven't solved my problem.

Immortalised in ink !

Today I bought the latest Issue of Hyper Magazine ( Australia's best gaming magazine ). As I was flipping through the pages I came across a new article called 'The Hotseat' where readers can ask developers about there upcoming games. This month was 'Ask EA Black Box about SKATE'. To cut a short story even shorter, my question was picked  The name SLAPSHAKLE is now Immortalised.

My question was :

slapshakle

"Does SKATE cater for real skateboarders creative minds ? I ask because since the Tony Hawk series has done away with a 'proper' level creator the replay value of the game has dropped from unlimited to about 2 weeks in my books."

EA Black Box

We're finding that Skate's physics engine is providing the tools for creative types to run wild with. It is crazy how many non-skaters on our team have started to adopt a skater's creative mindset. They are looking at the world that we're building, grasping the obvioud stuff to skate and then comin up with whole new ways to skate the world. The molders are constantly getting sent video clips and screen grabs by the team members showing off new lines, gaps and even tricks.

30 kills, 0 deaths.....

= Wicked Sick! on UT2004, and level 30 here on Gamespot.

I was going to be clever and get Wicked Sick on UT and take a screenshot.. but no, I have to leave right now.

Good ol' EB 2 for $50 sale.

Today I picked up Chromehounds and Phantasy Star Universe (both for 360) for $50aud.

I normally wouldn't consider buying these games but at 1/4 there RRP it's well worth it.

I love cheap games.

RIP Shane Cross.

Skateboarding suffered a tragic loss today: Shane Cross has passed away.

The 20-year-old was fatally injured while riding on the back of Ali Boulala's motorcycle in Australia. Ali survived the accident but is currently in critical condition.

RIP 1986 - 2007

:(

Soapbox ?

How does one get there blog post in there ?

I have seen some rather crappy ones, Im guessing it's just random ?

My GoW disk = DEAD!!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I was just playing Gears of War, all of a sudden the screen blacks out and says something about the disk not working, I take it out.... THERES A BIG **** CRACK THROUGH HALF THE **** DISK! So very lame. Bah, looks like I have to fork out another $100 for the game.

How the hell did that happen ? The console wasn't moved or anything like that.

No rewards for us.

Late last month, rumors about an achievements-for-rewards program sprang up, postulating that Microsoft and an unnamed sponsor would team up to give out prizes based on the Xbox 360's achievement system. Today, Microsoft copped to the plan and unveiled the program's sponsor by announcing the Old Spice Experience Challenge.

Beginning February 12, US gamers over the age of 13 can register at the Rewards site note: site not live as of press time) and attempt to increase their Gamerscores by 1,500 points before April 12. The contest is limited to a first-come, first-served basis, and there will be a total of $500,000 in prizes to be given out.

The prize selection benefits those who are already "achievement point whores," as the greatest prize package will be given to those who already have a solid Gamerscore foundation.

Level 1 (registrants with a Gamerscore of less than 5,000)
Prizes for completing challenge: A special gamer picture, Xbox 360 dashboard theme, and the Xbox Live Arcade game Contra.

Level 2 (registrants with a Gamerscore between 5,000 and 9,999)
Prizes for completing challenge: A special gamer picture, Xbox 360 dashboard theme, the Xbox Live Arcade game Contra, 100 Microsoft Points (worth $1.25), and a contest T-shirt.

Level 3 (registrants with a Gamerscore of 10,000 and over)
Prizes for completing challenge: A special gamer picture, Xbox 360 dashboard theme, the Xbox Live Arcade game Contra, 200 Microsoft Points (worth $2.50), a contest T-shirt, and a copy of Fuzion Frenzy 2.

Microsoft plans to expand the challenge to a global level in the future.

-------------------------------------------

So, the MS rewards progam is real. Too bad its for US residents only. Im level 3 and would be able to score 1,500 without breaking a sweat. Damn, Fuzion Frenzy 2 for free would have been awesome.

Not a happy camper.
