Alright here it is, I ask this question because there are some ave. pc gamers or should we say not realy hardcore that prefers a low - midrange pc, and satisfies what they have on a game, i mean not the gameplay itself but how they max out those settings on games, especially on crysis which is a 2 year old game and still some of those ave pc's cant maxed out for real, and they prefer to play half life 2 instead, not the best looking though but the storyline is a kick ass, so it is really necessaryto upgrade ur pc to play that certain game for more satisfaction, or should be satisfied on med settings but, it runs smooth though, prefers the gameplay.. so what do u think?
actually crysis has some points where u will think of far cry coz of some bad textures, but it doesnt matter though, the thing is its awesome, the volumetric effects especially on the alien scenes it really kick ass.. crysis ftw..
ur specs is pretty awesome for crysis, i do have a midrange pc but crysis runs good on my pc, but anyways the thing is crysis is badly optimized for some reason, yeah i know its an open world game but still it gives some bugs and memory leaks especially on some places where u will just look at it and still frame rate drops without a single fire fights, the best thing in crysis in optimized it with a custom config, maybe a ccc config will help... i use one of those either..
lol some console fanboys cant accept the truth.. really.. -_-
uhmm i used to have a 8800 gt with a 2.7 dual core and running resident evil 5 on 1440x900 with 8x anti aliasing with ave 61 fps lowest is 42 in intense scenes
while the consoles only manages to have 30fps coded on a 720p resolution and still ps3 has some frame rate drops

im not against the console, but the truth really is, 8800 is a 2 yr old card but its still a top of the line card and it is G92, while ps3's gpu equals to 7800 gtx whatever, while xbox only has x1800 xt.., these gpu's bandwith only manages to have 18 gb/s (wikipedia would help though) while 8800 has a minimum of 57.6 gb/s, THATS A LOT MAN lol, and their processors gives justice but still not enough, the thing is, if u want some pure fun gaming with the latest releases and the best exclusives, go with consoles, but if u want some serious gaming and performance ( intensive games like crysis etc ) then pc would be the choice, as with 8800 gt, u will be a happy camper..
uhmm just found this at some sources
Staff Sony were quoted in PlayStation Magazine saying that the "RSX shares a lot of inner workings with NVIDIA 7800 which is based on G70 architecture. Since the G70 is capable of carrying out 136 shader operations per clock cycle, the RSX was expected to feature the same number of parallel pixel and vertex shader pipelines as the G70, which contains 24 pixel and 8 vertex pipelines. [2]
NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang stated during Sony's pre-show press conference at E32005 that the RSX would be more powerful than two GeForce 6800 Ultra video cards combined.
