ya thats what is like killing me because i look at all the specs and the 2900xt just has way more to offer

and only for 50 bucks more i mean you can't go wrong?

I mean im not going to spend 700 dollars on a gpu ( gtx cough ultra)

so ya I think im def going to go for the 2900xt

only thing is i get all these fanboys of nvidia downing it all the time

but it just makes more sense that the 2900xt will out due it because of the 320 stream processors first of all

i mean 320 to 96 is a hugeee difference . Also with every new driver update the 2900xt is gaining ground on

the nvidia cards and it scores a higher 3D06 benchmark then the 8800gts's

Now from what i see is that the 2900 xt has a faster core clock even then the most overclocked edition of the 8800 gts it does have a smaller memory size (512mb) but it has a bigger memory interface (512 bit ) compared to the 8800 gts (320bit)

the only thing i see different is the memory clock is a tad bit faster in the 8800 then the 2900xt.

but the difference in stream processors is very large 320 to 96

Also the asus 2900xt comes with the hdmi adapter which carries sound

it seems to me that the2900 xt is the better choice

I know that it is running pretty close to the 8800 gts , but I am curious to what you guys think the 320 stream processors and the bigger memory interface will bring to the table once games like crysis , call of dut 4 , and gears of war come out.

Please help me decide on which is the best card to get ( not worrying about price) out of the 8800 gts 640 mb and the 2900xt 512 mb cards
