is it possible to run a usb network adapter with a ps3 I know that the ps3 already has wifi but my usb network adapter get a better signal

I am moving into a new home and haven't got my internet turned on yet [the phone company is being really slow about it] I was just wondering if my ps3 will pick up my neighbors signal, its about 30ft away and I HAVE PERMISSION to use his signal if I can. I dont know much about the wi fi and routers and all that stuff
