@runstalker: uncharted reminds me of tomb raider and a friend has it....i have seen it played and other then graphics that look SICK i just have no need to play it.....3 was awesome 4 seems boring from the 5 or 6 hours i watched him play.....it reminded me of "heard from a far crying in boredom 4"......i loved 3 and the way it played.....6 hours in to far cry 4 i stopped playing it and have not touched it in almost a year...plus every one has been hit or miss with uncharted....some say its the best one and others say its not as good as 3....so uncharted will be played at some point when i dont lose more then 20 bucks from it......if its any clue the friend already sold it.....

as for the next round of systems i have a PC and most of the games i will want to play are coming to it so the PS4 sits and i will get the next round when i can pick up one of them used for 200 bucks like i did with the PS4 in the first place....i dont need 4k.....i like what i have in my runco projector and my LCD TV i already have.....those will saty until they die....i should see 10 year out of the projector but i dont game on it much any more as the people next door said i kept the kid up all night watching play games.....

@TheZeroPercent: yeah they said that when the car hit.....buggy wipe makers having so many 100's of dollars coming in every year they are not going any where......only 15 or 20 years later we still had cars and no buggy wipe makers......and to be blunt things are not getting smaller......when i was a kid a 25inch TV was the biggest and best you could get.......now i can get 25 feet screens and 80 inch flat panels cost what a good 32in cost in 92......CPU's have transistors that are getting tiny even for the standard of measurement but they are increasing in over all size.....a P4 socket is tiny next to a 2011 gen 3.....the over top space to cool on these CPU's has DOUBLED as the contact surface of the P4 was half of the 2011.....then add in pin count to connect all of those extra cores to only end up with a chip that is in all account getting physically BIGGER when sizes of transistors have never been smaller .......next up the computer case.....my 1998 Emachine that i played many games on was all of 13 inches tall by 7 wide by 10 deep.....my cooler master 922 case is MASSIVE at 22inches tall 29 deep and 9 wide.....its crammed with every space being taken......4 ssd drives, 5 normal HD's, blu ray and DVD drives, 2 video cards and a sound card plus water cooling for ALL of it.....ever slot is take in that miss case.....and im still only playing video games with it.......lots of things are BIGGER.....cars are twice the size of any thing from 1908 and 3 times the weight......planes in some case are 10times bigger as well......dont forget how big super panmax and no pan ships are VS say the titanic.....as for everything going mobile the cutting edge will always be in something bigger(at least for the next 50 to a 100 years).....yes i understand a free cell phone from boost with a quad core CPU and 2gb of memory is better then what most people had in a desktop in 2007 but the true cutting edge is years beyond that now in MASSIVE water cooled cases......tech comes and goes fast but it takes YEARS if not DECADES in some case to make things micro and still have them function the same as their bigger brothers......no matter how fast things go it takes 50 years to get what someone can dream up today in to hand.....look at star trek and the first thing that ever look liked a tablet.....50 years later we have tablets that are not stone......i also i just have to add my mother worked for nielsen media research for almost 40 years....seeing a single computer take 3 floors and 28 rooms is something i will never forget when i look at what is in my massive PC case and know what it can do VS that monster that had 4 10ton A/C units on it......(nielsen is in their because they were the first private company on the planet to have a main frame in 1941 and a museum showing all of this stuff was at the entrance of the company for like 20 years)......truly last.....we just now got rid of record players.....if you look at the true design of the hard drive its a record player through and through.....the first flat disc player was made in the 1890's so a 120 years with all the tech we do have to stop using the design....and the sad fact is more then 3quarters of the worlds info right now is still on them........sorry its so long had to say a lot

@Barighm: 120hz is becoming normal even in off the shelf cheapo TV at walmart......and im sorry but you owe EVERY THING to PC gamers when it comes to the games you now have......you would not have online without them.......you would not have the hardware you do have now to make things like uncharted........you would not have DLC(that one may not be that good as its a new way to make you pay to see the real ending) YOU SAID "Most of them aren't that great anyway. Just glorified tech demos."......HAHAHAHAHA.....no for real HAHAHAHAHAH.......crysis was one of the best games ever made!!!....it took 3 years and a full recode to bring it consoles.....many things are not done on consoles that could be done on PC's.....here is a clue......i started playing planet side 2 with a AMD 5000 black edition dual core at 3ghz with 2gb of DDR2 at 1066 and a 1.5gb 9600 GSO......we had 500 to 800 people on any given night in ONE SERVER.......the game is now out on PS4....the PS4 has 8gb of DDR5 memory total(twice the 3.5 total mine had), a 8 core CPU(4 times the number of cores i had) and a video chipset based on a 7850(light years above my old 9600)....all tech in the PS4 is 3 to 4 years newer then my old now gone potato but they still cant get more then 300 or 400 people in to a PS4 based game server and the kicker is the fact they would not have even got that many with OUT understanding the workings of the PC version.........

now after saying all of that this is all coming from a guy that was around to get a left over atari at 4 and then get a NES in 86 at the age of 7......i have been around to see ALL OF IT.....well most of it.......and even wanting to play the best games i can, i can never over look how PC gaming has changed gaming as a whole even down to whats on cell phones......do the PC elitists need to get over a computer making up for their penis YES!!!! but it wont change what PC gaming has done......last i have all 4 in the house including a wiiu......i also still have a OG gameboy on the back of can just to play tetris when im pooping.....i will play in 4 shades of gray if the game is good.......and making good games today takes real hardware....its just the facts man.....

@Barighm: no.....both of them are using everything the die has......they cut them out of the production line.....its not like PC hardware that may have locked cores or disabled shader cores.....they did not print them on the chip....the next round has a whole new chip set......its based on the 480 that just came out from AMD, the old chip set was based on the 7850

@Ezioprez9709: that is going to take YEARS!!! and the next console will truly be out before we have a clear picture.....with every thing coming its really going to come down to who makes better games but even that is out the window with most games being made by around 15 3rd party companies......they will find the best way to program games for the systems about to come out right at the point the next true should start.....oh well.....

@jerjef: specs do matter and they matter now more then any other point in history........with the fact we did not see a real jump from last gen to the first part of this gen people want real change....going from xbox to 360 you saw MORE.....going from GTA5 on 360 to one....not so much......with TV's changing and VR coming out hardware is pushing these changes faster then any other point in history......face that simple fact.....and the truth lies in the fact the new consoles are coming out before a new gen is really started.....

@jerjef: i dont see it.....long gone are the days of console gamers not being able to understand the facts and info put forth.....people know the specs of the hardware coming and can google anything they dont understand to come to some kind of informed decision..... topped off with the fact they wont be denied games lots of people are going to wait to see how good the later console is VS the new PS4.......i own both and a PC.....the only one im looking at upgrading is the ONE.....the PS4 has been unplugged for 10 months with nothing to play as all the games i wanted made it to PC......the game changer with this round is the fact people that dont upgrade will still be able to play current games on the PS4's and ONE's already in the world.......its not going to be a must have because the games will work on cheaper systems......
