@wiouds: Really? In Fallout 3 you have to keep adding points to skills and usually spread them out. Sometimes you have to level up three times just to get tot the next level for lock picking. Now I level up and take the lock picking perk and I'm ready to start picking the next level of locks. Same goes with crafting guns and armor.

Regardless, I don't think it's a big deal in the game. The sense of adventure trumps everything else in this game.

I love hearing people say they won't play the game or are going to wait to play because it's a half finished product. It makes me laugh. You act like you're so smart and better than everyone else. I pre-ordered it and have been playing it since day one. I've been enjoying every second of it and just laugh at the haters. Half finished product, please. Yes, it has bugs, but it is far from a half finished product. Your face is a half finished product. HA! ;)

@Chatch09 You really don't think that Fallout 4 has added anything to Fallout 3? You may be the only person that I've seen that says the AI is dumb. The enemies are much smarter and harder to fight. If you think it's just Fallout 3 again I don't know what you are expecting. I know that if they made major changes to the game the same idiots would complain that it doesn't feel like Fallout. Here are some other improvements:

Making settlements was a huge addition allowing people to spends hours building and not actually following the story.

The new crafting system is a great addition and finally gives a reason to have all that junk laying around in the game. Was worthless in Fallout 3.

Being able to cook food finally made it worth while to pick up the meat from animals you kill.

The VATS system has been improved.

The graphics are not the best in the world but they are better. Who doesn't love looking out over the wasteland from a high position. You can even seem enemies far away.

There are loads of companions now and if you don't like using them you don't have to. Such a pain having the option, right? (sarcasm)

Not everyone has agreed on liking the story but from all the reviews of credible people I've read it's been considered much improved over Fallout 3.

The leveling up system has changed and makes it so you actually notice that you leveled up because of the perks you gain. Some don't like it I suppose.

HUGE map

The reviews on Metacritic are ridiculous. I actually signed up on their just so I could put my own honest review on there. I gave it a 9 out of 10. I loved Fallout 3 and this does everything that game did with some awesome additions. I can't give it a perfect score because there are some quirks and glitches but there are no other games that I find are better than this game.

I find that the user reviews are generally crap. Most of the 0-5 ratings are from kids who just hate the franchise or feel that graphics are the only thing that matter in a game. The 10 out of 10 ratings are mostly just from fanboys and they give it that rating just because. The only ratings I find justifiable for Fallout 4 are 7 to 9. Anything below 7 and above 9 is just crap and they don't know what they are talking about.

I like the new perk system. Each time I level up I feel like my character is actually gaining something. The skills in Fallout 3 just seemed way too tedious. I felt like I had to level up 5 times before my character was improved.

The Last of Us is a must. That was the most emotionally involved game I've ever played. No game has ever affected me like that game and I loved it.

No games for me. I'll be way too busy playing Fallout 4.

I think realistic graphics turned a lot of younger gamers into spoiled asses. Graphics can be great and really add to a game but it's the gameplay and story that make it special. Similar to a woman, personality always trumps looks.

Plenty of bugs but all very minor, no different than Fallout 3. I've put in 15 hours so far and have yet to see frame rate issues but I have heard some reports.

To the OP, those are some of the weakest gripes with a game. If you are in the early stages of the game then you are not going to be able to one shot kill enemies that are stronger than you. A 10mm that has a power of 10 isn't going to one shot kill too many ghouls. If you're going to complain about that then you should expect yourself to die with a single hit as well.

If you lost Dogmeat then put a doghouse at your settlement and he may return there. Don't forget to check all of your settlements too.

Just travel back to sanctuary and pick up some there. There is plenty of it there with sinks and toilets. You can also find it all over the wasteland by picking up coffee mugs and such.
