In a rare instance, I came across a day old two-part interview of Harvey's gee-tarist in some random dude's blog. I miss this music more than I miss the days of Sifl & Olly and high school proms. I have very bizzare taste in music, reflected greatly by this "one hit wonder" band." The interview quasi-confirms a new album out soon by them(sans original drummer), and the fact the band didn't entirely break up back in 2001. The first part of the interview reminds me that most people don't know about their second album, King James Version released obscurely in late 2000, and that its very difficult to find by now. I was smart enough to pick up a copy then (not quite as smart enough to get Planescape: Torment, which I still to this very day, search far and away to find), but I haven't seen it anywhere today. KJV is leagues better than their first "hit" album, which was good but not great. The second part of the interview details Lin's view of the current state of the music industry in regards to the evolution of technology, specifically the present and future of the ideas of filesharing and record sales. People who feel strongly about this would do well to check it out:

If you like catchy 'geek rock' with heavy pop-rock riffs and excessive uses of electric banjos and organs but isn't at all like the mainstream garbage today, try searching for King James Version if you can find it. They say its going to be re-released, but thats still on a long to-do list for them.
Just me? Why the hell am I even thinking about this? I've got work to do.
Everytime I see this I can't stop laughing. I'm going to hell.
Hard but not too hard. Lack of Live prevents me from finding out how much harder the game gets with the Hurricane Pack. I'm into Chapter 6, at the Raiders of the Lost Ark part.
As I tear through this game I notice how very comparable it is to Devil May Cry. Both have the following in common:
- Fleshed out environments, rich in detail
- Weapon configuration consist of large swords and small ranged sidearms
- Interacting with environments results in a text description of the ridiculously obvious
- Currency, health and power collected from glowing orbs from breakable objects and slain enemies
- Backtracking to previous environments to find new enemies
- Wooden voice acting
- Obscenely well-endowed supporting characters
- Juggling manuevers
- Obnoxious underwater level that brings the fast-paced action to a screeching halt
Thats about all I can find for now. Other than the 3 years NG has over DMC in graphics, it feels like I'm playing the same game with different skins. Which by no means is a bad thing.
