The review calls the game a "kids'" game (it's the first thing he had to say), then chastises it for lack of explanation on the gameplay. These two complaints are incompatible.
Well this validates my 1993 purchase of the game on SNES somewhat - though i never loved the game, it was graphically great and sonically good - the hit detection wasn't perfect...
"Get with the times!" is what everyone says about Nintendo. When they do everyone says they've gone too far. Again the we see the higher standard that Nintendo is held to.
Hardware X from 2015 outperforms Hardware Y from 2013? No one would expect anything less. If Gabe released the SteamMachines on the launch day of the PS4, he might have something worth promoting.
