It's always people who are internally conflicted who write things like this. They know they want to play the games, but they don't want to pay Nintendo's prices. As if Nintendo hadn't thought of that type of person 😂

They don't know what hassle they've walked into when trying to act like a first party manufacturer.

The brilliance of Nintendo is that, unlike many western developers and the author, they don't feel this impulse to classify their games in to strict genres. In fact, Metroid (if you haven't noticed) spawned an entire genre on its own. This is still not enough for some people!
