Ate you sure you want smoother controls? Purists usually argue in the other direction for this series. Stricter controls, less twitch action, more atmosphere.

@knifebeater: I guess so, but they were fairly minimal if I'm remembering the game right.

I struggle to think of any major complaint for RE4.

This is why the Mana series has never really reached Final Fantasy status, it's always been a bit obtuse.

Doesn't bother me though.

I like these mini consoles. They also cool down the over heated retro market and annoy collectors.

How are they going to shift all those physical copies they've committed to if they release it digitally?
