I get about an hour a day, maybe 5 days a week to play (married with 3 kids). That's just an average. I might get 10 hours in a good week. I guess it takes me anywhere from 2 - 6 weeks to finish a game.

dude the fact that you get any playing time is impressive

[QUOTE="FunkyHeadHunter"]

Why in the world would I want to step outside America? We are the largest gaming community. We are now the most important infleuence in the gaming community. Everyone else follows our every move. PC gaming is in the back field now...get over it. We can argue on here time and time again, but it wont change anything.

Typical American ignorance. You're not worth my time.

ah yes, but broadbrushing an entire country as a result of one discussion with one poster is cereberal.

i would agree that the american market is what matters most-thats not arogance or ignorance- it is simply the truth.

this is such a silly debate. yes pc sales are going down, but not among gamers who veiw the pc as just another console.

blackberrys and phones are evolving/have evolved into entertainment centers and if you dont think people game
on these devices you're wrong.

they may not be playing the types of games we are discussing here but give those devices time-partcularly laptops.

until then, the people who drive the pc gaming market are going to buy pc's and as they become the pre-eminent consumer pc's will contininually improve
to meet there specific needs- ironically you could say the downturn may actually benefit them. one downside, i suspect, will be
either cost stabilzation/increases as the market becomes more niche.

im not an loyalist by any means- i dont play on pc's

sorry meant to add-

with that being said- this isnt a zero sum game (i own a ps3 and wii) - in the end everyone will still be standing-
one may fare better than the other as generations come out but i dont see any system facing ruin.

for the ps3 it was burnout paradise - initially a really great ride but it started feeling boring and repetitive and the music/DJ just annoyed the hell out of me

for the wii it was metroid - corruption- the controls made the gameplay completely unenjoyable- it would have been an absouletly incredible game with standard controls imo.

it takes me forever now that i'm a married man with 50+ hours of work a week, and then house chores. i miss the the good ol' days where i could sit and play every free minute that i had, but now i'm just to busy. because of this Fallout 3 is taking me forever:P

The post about game prices peaked my interest a bit and I want to use this thread as sort of an ability barometer. I have to admit I love playing but it takes me about 2 1/2 months for me to finish a game basically because I'm not 20 anymore and am loaded with obligations (all good of course). So essentially I get about 2 hours of game time a week. I know much of this depends on the game but if you can provide an overall average-that might work best. The reason why I want to know? Just curiousity

Wow this is pathetic, the guy has an opinion people no reason to have a go at him and say crap about him, he has some valid points and his own opinion on the game, it shouldn't affect your opinion in any way and he isn't saying you guys shouldn't like the game so stop the defensive fanboy crap. People are entitled to their own opinions, just because he's on some PS3 forums doesn't mean he has to love every single PS3 exclusive.

Prince-Noctis

agreed. as someone who hasn't bought the game I actually appreciated the review. im surprised people got this upset about it, i couldn't imagine getting even annoyed at someone who thought a game i loved sucked, what's the point of this kind of forum if the only opinion that matters is yours or one similar to yours?

[QUOTE="Blue_Panda"]

i meant without the story. if you start + skip all the cutscenes, this is quite frankly a bad game...

Scianix-Black

Then, if you skip all the cutscenes in MGS4, you have a bad game.

Skip all the cutscenes in Call of Duty, bad game.
Skip all the cutscenes in Resistancer, bad game.
Skip all the cutscenes in Ratchet & Clank, bad game.
Skip all the cutscenes in inFamous, bad game.

actually, i found the cut scenes in mgs4 excessive- its definitely the best game I played thus far but the long winded cinematics took away some
