[QUOTE="Redfingers"]This was quoted from Eggebrecht directly (I typed what he said) in Episode 43 IGN weekly video. There is a lengthy 7-8 minute segment on Too Human which precedes it.GermanShepard06
too human beat it with 25,001 enemies on screen and with 20,001 feet from the ground at 1080p resolution? wow....
shutup
GTA4 will sell better on PS3 than it will on the 360,reason being is that the 360 gamers are more into FPS/sports/racing games than action games,PS is more casual gamer friendly than the 360 as well.Shu76

[QUOTE="AvIdGaMeR444"]Motorstorm has 8 tracks, the worst ranking and stat tracking I've seen in a racing game, and no upgradeable vehicles only useless skins. The game which touted 15gb of Blu-Ray necessity, has less features then Super Monaco for Genesis. I own a ps3, but I must be the only one that realizes the space is not being used properly.I knew this would happen! RockStar won't admit it...but I'm 100% sure that the reason GTAIV is going to be smaller than San Andreas is because of the space limitations of DVD9. Using 720p and having a huge streaming world with no load times is the culprit. It worked last gen because of lower resolutions....but to have a streaming game with no load times and be 720p in a huge environment this gen?
I'm betting RockStar is having to cut major corners just to get this game to fit on DVD9. "But AvidGamer, your argument is void because Oblivion is huge and it only took half of a DVD9". Yeah, well Oblivion had low res textures constantly in the distance...there was long load times to enter towns, and even when the game was "streaming" out in the open, it was constantly saying "loading" and having to load as you were moving around. Also, there was major fade in from foliage and such. Also, Oblivion had the same music loop over and over and had the same 4 or 5 voice actors for different people.
GTAIV will have many more voice actors, whether it be random people you hit, or the main characters. Also, GTAIV will have much more diversity in music.
DVD9 is "technically" enough space for this gen...but barely. Look at it this way...
1) GTA 2 was bigger than GTA
2) GTA 3 was bigger than GTA 2
3) Vice City was bigger than GTA 3
4) San Andreas was bigger than Vice City
5) And now...GTA IV is SMALLER than San Andreas.
Seems very fishy to me...RockStar has actual competition now as well from Saints Row and Crackdown...and GTA IV is gonna be smaller? I bet RockStar wanted to make GTA IV bigger than San Andreas, but they just couldn't because of DVD9 limitations.
Sorry lemmings, but if you think about it...this makes sense...GTA IV is "dumbed" down for the DVD9.
