Fist i want to say that i hope i am not sounding rude. I think you should be enough to know what games are appropriate for a little kid and it amazes me when i see people on forums specially these asking this. Here are the rules you should be following: 1. Look at the rating to see if it is appropriate. 2. Look at the art and read the back to see what it is about. 3. Grab some shoppers or look on amazon.com and gamestop.com. There you will find a search engine with the option of ratings and prices.

[QUOTE="rikimaru93"][QUOTE="Ventara"]

Assuming it's as great as I imagine and that it will have great games (there's no doubt in my mind it will), I'd be willing to shell out up to $500 (not that I want it to be at that price though).

Those of you won't even be willing to pay $300, you're being way too optimistic. Just start saving up and it wouldn't be a big deal at launch. But I guess if you're fine with missing out on stuff like Uncharted (you know it's going to happen), great dual analog shooters, a nice wide screen that's pretty much a mini media centre, and PS3 graphics (on a small screen), then that's your choice.

Saving up $500 is a big deal especially for university students like myself. Tuition, rent, and bills add up. If i was 25 with a stable career then it would be a different story, however I don't think thats the market Sony is aiming for.

I can totally relate to you dude. For me the price should be alot lower, alot of us would like to see that. But lets be real. I'm almost sure the specs are much higher or on par with the Xbox360, and close to the PS3, with 3G plus all the touch sens features and the new OLED, it would be hard to say it's not going to be $500.00 with Sony stating it will NOT be $599.99 I can sleep a bit better. Regardless if anyone is really that gungho on getting one my advice would be to get your arse to Walmart and put $10.00 down on a pre-order layaway, I'm sure pre orders will start in the spring around April/May. That'll give you a few months leading up to Nov/Dec to throw a few bucks here and there.

I understand as a student you can have a difficult time to get money but come on! How can students save to get an I-Pad or I-Pod, those are overpriced items. If you start saving at least $1.50 a a day by the holidays you will have more than the cost of the NGP. That's what i will do, save.

I will pay up to $449.99. I wonder why the heck people complain about prices for every console and not a freaking overpriced I-Pad and I-Pod. The NGP will be like getting a state of the art Tablet PC with a Gaming Machine.

I recommend you to wait and get her a 3DS for $249.99 plus tax and Dead or Alive: Dimensions with Resident Evil: Mercenaries.

200 max, but I'll wait for a second model I guess. Haven't had my 3000 for very long now and would like to concentrate on getting good games for it first.

LOL, LOL, This is hilarious. Do you really think the NGP will cost $200. Hah, OLED Screen, Touch panel front and back, Cameras, 3G, 4 cores, Graphics abilities, Dual Sticks, Gyro sensors, Compass, GPS and much more.

[QUOTE="wes008"]3DS litedzimm

I really doubt we're going to see a "3DS Lite". Maybe a 3DSi with minor changes but certainly not a radical redesign like the DS Lite was to the DS.

You're right. These people who can't afford the 3DS are just inventing problems without owning or trying the 3DS plus as you said if Nintendo launch a new version it will take a long time and it won't be that much different than the original. The 3DS has more screen brightness so that's not a problem, is the size of the DSi so that's not a problem, has downloadable contend; in short everything the current DS's have plus more.

Nope, not interested in giving Nintendo 250 to do their R&D for them

The 3DS has too many problems right off the bat and it's not even released yet, there was as little as 9 months between the times the DS and the DSLite were released. I'm happy enough waiting for the 3DSLite.

Oh brother! You are joking right? Please people stop acting so childish, What problems the 3DS has? 5 Hours battery is not a problem considering what it does plus you can turn off the wireless, 3D and brightness and the thing can last 10 hours. Don't begin saying: what's the point of turning off the 3D? Seriously people are not interested that much in the system for the 3D, they are looking for the great games, graphics etc. The original DS was very, very bulky, the screens weren't well positioned, weighted a too much, had cheap buttons, giant DPad and the screens were very dark with almost no light. The 3DS is the same size as a DSi, has more screen brightness, great Dpad , the cameras, sd slot, everything the DSi has plus more. Oh and it doesn't weight to much so it doesn't have tons of problems. I YOU CAN'T OR DON'T WANT TO BUY IT THEN THAT'S YOUR PROBLEM. THERES NO NEED TO INVENT PROBLEMS MORE FOR A GADGET IS NOT AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE RIGHT NOW.

[QUOTE="GamerForca"][QUOTE="BrunoBRS"] ........ what was the last time you played an N64 game? because i have, and the superiority of the DS is crystal clear to me.

Whoa, really? I'm shocked by this. I still play OoT, MM, Perfect Dark, Banjo Tooie, Pokemon Stadium 2, etc, every time I'm back at my parent's house (I was last there less than a month ago), and those N64 games blow any of my DS games (including the two Zelda's) out of the water graphically. I mean, it does have a much better processor, a graphics chip that can can do trilinear texture filtering (far more advanced than what the DS can do), and has more RAM. Oh, but maybe your N64 didn't have an expansion pack? That must be it. I still see the N64 as stronger (and its specs are still better) without the expansion pack, but it's a lot closer in that case.

You just need to see Mario and Bower from Mario 64 and then the models from the DS version.
