A general hardware fail can happens to any model. It applys to all current consoles. The only difference is that the PS3 use a yellow collored light to identify it while the older 360's indentify the thing with a red light.
[QUOTE="Stressthesky"][QUOTE="J-WOW"]I want to get a Slim, and the reason is becuz my 40GB gets too loud. So I was wondering do the Slims have that fan issue where the fan goes on overtime and sounds like a leafblower? If it doesnt then I get a the Whit PS3 silm, but if it does then I'll just upgrade my 40gb HDDJ-WOW
My PS3 slim is dead quiet, I never notice any noise at all. I'm not sure how the phats are, but I used to own a Xbox360 elite and that thing would go off like a vaccum cleaner at certain points.
PS3 fats are quiet but after a couple of years, sometimes when playing a game the fan will get loud like a vaccum cleaner for no reason at all. I have to turn of the AC to like 70 degrees and it will stop, I cant really play it at room temperature. Not all games do it though. I usually just turn on the tv volume higher and keep on play for several more hours cuz it doesnt over heat but the sound is annoying Ignore him. There's no such thing as a dead quite PS3 Slim. Go to you tube and see for yourself.I've never touched the online.. lol Young_CharterSame here and i bought the game jut two or three days after launch.
Sly Cooper Collection will support it too and Killzone 3It looks cool but I'm waiting for it to get cheaper before I buy it. I already have the playstation eye and it's $80 for both controllers. Seems a little much for me with all the good games coming out. It probably isn't worth getting right now anyway, not enough good games that support the move. The only game I can think of is Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition.

Those articles should not be taken seriously. They trend to do that and exaggerate just for marketing.Wow!! Seems like I was really misinformed, or misunderstood some of the articles I was reading. I feel so silly and stupid now, thinking that SS could be done on the 3DS lol. But still the 3DS is a major jump in technology from the DS, so I guess the same might happen with the successor to the wii.

....yes actually it is close to the Wii .
Not near the the Wii and way behind the the PS3 and 360. When the current DS came everyone was saying it was on part with the N64 and that wasn't true.
