The Secret Diary of a Cat DAY 752 - My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while I am forced to eat dry cereal. The only thing that keeps me going is the hope of escape, and the mild satisfaction I get from shredding on the occasional piece of furniture. Tomorrow I may eat another houseplant and cough it up on the carpeting.

DAY 761 - Today my attempt to kill my captors by weaving around their feet while they were walking almost succeeded, must try this at the top of the stairs. In an attempt to disgust and repulse these vile oppressors, I once again induced myself to vomit on their favorite chair... must try this on their bed (again).

DAY 762 - Slept all day so that I could annoy my captors with sleep depriving, incessant pleas for food at ungodly hours of the night.

DAY 765 - Decapitated a mouse and brought them the headless body, in
attempt to make them aware of what I am capable of, and to try to strike fear into their hearts. They only cooed and condescended about what a good little cat I was ...Hmmm. Not working according to plan...

DAY 768 - I am finally aware of how sadistic they are. For no good reason I was chosen for the water torture. This time however it included a burning foamy chemical called "shampoo." What sick minds could invent such a liquid. My only consolation is the piece of thumb still stuck between my teeth and the tiny bit of flesh under my claws.

DAY 771 - There was some sort of gathering of their accomplices. I was placed in solitary throughout the event. I overheard that my confinement was due to MY power of "allergies." Must learn what this is and how to use it to my advantage.

DAY 774 - I am convinced the other captives are flunkies and maybe snitches. The dog is routinely released and seems more than happy to return. He is obviously a half-wit. The bird, on the other hand, has got to be an informant. He has mastered their frightful tongue (something akin to mole speak) and speaks with them regularly. I am certain he reports my every move. Due to his current placement in the metal room his safety is assured.

But I can wait; it is only a matter of time....

I got in line for a copy of the book and couldn't wait to get home to begin reading it. Now 7 hours later I finished it and WOW! Laughter and tears (LOTS of tears) I'm sad the journey with Harry is over but they have been some great moments which have brought lots of family togetherness from listening to the books on cd in the car when we take trips, eagerly waiting for the midnight movies as they are released, dressing up as characters from the book, picking faves and remaining staunchly fierce about how they are portrayed in the novels, etc.... I found the final installment to be an excellent addition to the saga.

I took one of my boys to the Honda Civic Tour with Fallout Boy headlining. Until we got to the venue that was the only band I knew that would be there because radio and ads didn't mention the opening band. But there were FOUR opening bands: "Cobra Starship", "Paul Wall", "The Academy Is..." and "+44". I really enjoyed Cobra Starship and am heading out to get the soundtrack for "Snakes on a Plane" because they are on the cd. I could have done without Paul Wall (or maybe I'm just getting too old lol). The Academy Is... was good enough we picked up their cd there at the venue and made it around to the signing to meet the band so that was cool. +44 of course was awesome (I am a fan of Blink 182 so really enjoyed that portion) and Fallout Boy... WOW!!!!!!!!! Awesome. Great stage performance, good music (bought my son a cd that he actually didn't have that they were selling and had to get his girlfriend a FOB tshirt). It was really funny when they covered the Michael Jackson hit "Beat It" I wish they had it on one of their cds.

After the concert we stayed at Motel 6. Love, love, love their bathroom and bathtub. But their bed was so hard I might as well have slept on the floor.

So last night I completed expert level on every level of Diner Dash 2 and I have completed expert expert level on the first four restaurants of Flo on the Go. So I have only one more restaurant to go in that game and I will unlock the last "secret" level in that game.

In other news, sadly I really wanted to see "Nancy Drew" this weekend but we live in a small town community (the nearest theater is 20 miles and two towns away and it only shows one movie... this week it is "Disturbia") and even if I go 20 more miles north the five movie choices there do not have her. So here's keeping my fingers crossed that it will have Nancy soon. Because the five showing are Shrek 3 (seen it), Pirates 3 (seen it), Spiderman 3 (seen it), Delta Farce (no interest to see it), and Miss Potter (no interest, but dang wish it was Harry Potter then I would soooooooo be there).

So we have discovered "Diner Dash". And being a family of OCD we have Diner Dash, Diner Dash 2, Diner Dash Flo on the Go and Spongebob Diner Dash. So even if it looks like I'm online I may not be. I may have the tab minimized while I serve up another round in my quest to get expert level on all 50 levels of all 4 games. (hey it pays off, it's rather absurd how THRILLED I was to discover that that getting expert on all levels in a restaurant OPENED A SECRET LEVEL!!!!!!!!!!! in "Flo on the Go".) Translation, I have no life. And having beaten all four games in the last two weeks since I bought the first I now go back over them to get expert level on all then I shall move on to Belle's Beauty Shop and Plantasia!!!!!!

So I have skipped a couple levels in my path and was curious as to what they were. So I did the right click with the mouse on my emblem and got the property of my current emblem then just repeatedly changed the number to see what it would reveal and where it would lead me. Apparently it tops out currently at 114, don't ask me what the names are (the properties didn't reveal that much info and if you get bored it took me less than 10 minutes to repeatedly change the emblem number and gather it all if you want them for your site :) ) In closing I want/hope "thirteen parrots" reaches level 58 soon and camps out there a while since it seems to be a parrot picture/emblem!
