@Aphyosemion Yahoo and Google have about 10 times the user base and the make their money from Advertising, now if you want advertising ALL in your system that's another discussion. And Yes I know MS also has has ads but I'm sure its not enough to cover the costs.

Whys is so hard for people to understand it costs companies money to buy servers AND to maintain severs. Sony got away with it before because it was already in the Prices of the PS3 at $600. That's 5 years of server maintenance. ( 5x $60). and that's with a $300 cost of the system. It is very simple , it costs money just to maintain those servers. Period, end of story.
