Here's where I stand on all the collect 120 stars 3d mario games. My favorite is sunshine then 64 the galaxy 2 then galaxy 1. Also people might say that I'm crazy for saying I thought both the galaxy games were great. Anyone agree with my list? This is up there on my favorite group/series of games. Probably 2nd the the Ratchet and clank future games.
I think Ratchet and Clank is overrated if anything.
It's too linear for my tastes.
I also hate the art style. Blech

Its straight forward and simple. A lot of the best games made were linear. A lot of the games today seem to lack the linear part and I tend to get confused on what to do. What I like in a game is a strict "checklist" on what to do. I don't want to get my computer every 15 minutes and look up a walkthrough. That's what I love about ratchet and clank. You know what to do. Just get through the level and continue in the game. Simple and awesome. As for the animation I get what you mean but the game is meant to be funny at times so that is why you get the cartoonist animation. I don't see anything wrong with that. Some of my favorite games are like that. The spyro games on the PS1, the 3d mario games (sunshine, galaxy and 64). I think the graphics in the newer ratchet games were the best when the games were made. They also top many games today if not most games.
Ratchet and Clank have to be my favorite video game series of all time. I never really hear too many goods things about the series. I'm talking about every game made before a crack in time included this one. The multiplayer games are terrible, but thats a topic for another day. Anyways I never hear anything about this series. These games are the reason why I bought a ps2 and ps3, but they never really get mentioned. Anyone know why? Anyone agree?
I don't know if I can name ten but in no particular order I have to mention Call of Duty and Halo right away. To name a few more...maybe banjo kazooie 1 and 2. Never played myself but have seen plenty of gameplay and I don't get it. Next metal gear solid. Finally MODERN FIRST PERSON SHOOTER GAMES. This goes in with COD and Halo but I just hate them.

Thanks for the help. I have already bought a few of the big name nes games a couple of weeks ago, but I just don't really want to move on until I have the list I need. I am a perfectionist when it comes to video games. Eventhough it is probably an unrealistic goal, I want to own every different cartridge made in North America. I will never really expect to finish this collection but if someday I have a ton of money I can go back to my collection and buy games like NWC. I have a goal, but I realize I may never reach this goal and I'm fine with that as long as I keep trying. @WitIsWisdom...Do you still have the list that you were talking about? I'd really be thankful if you could e-mail me it or something. It would solve a lot of problems for me at this point. Anyways thanks to everyone.
