I have a AcerAX3950 Which has 220 Watt PS, And im thinking of upgrading to this video card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127611. Will my computer be able to handle this power supply with battlefield 3 at medium or high settings?

Unless you're playing at over 1080p, there's no way you're not noticing a pretty big difference on absolutely any game, even on those with excessive blur that might cover these problems.DanielDust
It just makes shadows darker, thats all i have noticed. That and it takes away 30 fps, now i would only have 50

I don't really see that much of a difference that you will acctualy notice in games like Battlefield 3.

[QUOTE="ionusX"] hd 6870 will handle it on medium @ about 60fps but why are you cutting your system down so much? cutting down visuals on modern shooters makes em look fugly

ionusX

Uh why not a 7850? Its more powerful, smaller and it uses less energy..

it also costs alot more XD he wants the cheapest

It has to be a smaller video card for it to fit in my computer, i have the slim model. (Thats what she said)

I'm not sure, but you might not be able to find a card that small that will handle BF3.

the_bi99man

Im thinking of buying a new case, im just worried about messing up when im putting the parts in the case.

What are your other components? If they're all really low end stuff too, it might be worth it to just build a whole new system. If you just want good framerates, and don't care about maxing games out, you could probably get away with like, less than $500 for a whole new system. And even something like that would actually play all but the most recent, super graphic intense games, at pretty high settings, too.

No my computer itself is really good, 3.7 GHz 4GB ram, It's just the video card thats the problem. I have the acer AX3950 if you can look up all my specs.

Actually that video card wont fit, i have a slim style computer. I tried the Radeon HD 250 gts but it did not fit.

Well i mainly care about gameplay, like minecraft has good gameplay but bad graphics. Even if i can play the game at high settings, i play at normal for better framerate. If it's over 60 fps with either graphics it does not really matter though. Normal will be fine with me.
