@juteboxjr That's why you don't think it's that bad. If you had ever played any of the other SimCity's then you's understand. Why are you trying to tell people that have been playing this game for more then 15 years that it isn't that bad when you have no clue what you are talking about?
@juteboxjr $60 for a game that requires 3 days before it's playable? A game that has already alienated a large and faithful fan base by changing aspects and adding things that were never asked for? A game that doesn't allow me to save putting me at the mercy of the servers not crashing. A game that doesn't allow me to play off line on my laptop even though I paid $60 for it, I guess I don't technically own it since I have to be connected to EA to play.
EA/Maxis had ten years to get things right and this is the product they give us, this isn't a new concept that they had to create but in fact a polished and proven franchise. All they had to do was improve the graphics and add some new features to make the game feel fresh and instead they have tried to turn it into a always online cash cow!
There is no excuse for the game to be this broken or to be different in ways that it's faithful fans don't appreciate.
Even after a lengthy Beta process they couldn't figure out that the servers were going to have this much trouble?? C'mon they knew the product was bad and they shipped it anyway because they needed it to start returning on investment, period end of story and exactly why this game deserves even less then a 5.
Let me read what some of the marketing from the jacket of SimCity 4 says "The Biggest Simcity Ever!" ... "Create a Massive Metropolitan Area!". The game used to be marketed and sold on the principle of creating huge cities and now for absolutely no reason other then to facilitate a mulit-player game that no one asked for they've gone in the complete opposite direction

GameSpot you cant keep waiting for the servers to be fixed so you don't have to give the game a negative review. Tell it like it is and just forget about the review kick-back from EA, it's not worth it anyway.
By the way, why hasn't GameSpots review come out yet for this game? Is it because they are desperately hoping the servers are fixed so they wont have to mention it and still give the game a positive review in order to receive their kick-back from EA? Nahhh, that certainly is totally impossible.
