Gateway p-7805u fx. I found it on ebay. Will it run most games still? Will it run games like Skyrim and below graphics wise? If not, what would it run?

Memory is a little on the low side. Other than that it looks fine for low settings on high end games right now. It's definitely not future proof and you will not see stellar performance out of it.

What would you consider high end games?

[QUOTE="evildead6789"]it's crappy for games buy a desktop, or spend more money on a laptop. Still it will run those games you mentioned but on low to medium settings, don't expect any high settings.ronvalencia
On it's native resolution, it would be medium to high.

Would you recommend getting it or waiting for something better for more money.

Not interested in a desktop. I need a semi-portable computer.

I am wanting a gaming computer that can run pc exclusive titles (SC2, witcher 2, crysis,and pretty much all RTS games) . I am almost set on getting the ASUS K53TA-bbr6 on newegg (refurb). I have 500$ saved up so far. Do you think i should get the laptop or wait and get a better one after i save up more.

Im getting a new laptop this week and my brother keeps bragging how his is better than my current Toshiba satellite L305d-S5895. He has a Toshiba Satellite C655-S5307. Im getting a refurb ASUS K53TA-BBR6. Is mine better than his (for gaming)? If so, how much?

[QUOTE="spikekyn"] What if the game doesn't accept multi threading. kaitanuvax

Then it'll only use as many cores as it needs to. Simple as that.

Thanks

[QUOTE="spikekyn"]

Thanks, I think it could run Crysis 1 pretty easily. But other than that i think your right. (And you do know that SC and D3 arent console ports.)

kaitanuvax

Yeah I do, was just too lazy to put them into a 3rd category, but you get my drift.

Just making sure. Also, will the fact that it is a quad core make it better or worse for games?
