See the system in my signature? I have experienced the game in all it's glory... System wars huh? I wasn't trying to compare PC vs. PS3, if that's what it seemed like. But anyways, so much for taking this forum serious, god damn...

Crysis has finally met it's match.

I just finished playing through Borneo in Uncharted 2 and I couldn't help but compare the scenery to Crysis, and as far as I'm concerned, Uncharted 2 absolutely blows Crysis out of the water. The level of detail in every square inch of the game is unbelievable! I can only imagine how hard the guys at Naughty Dog had to work to achieve this.

There have been plenty of games with graphics that compete with Crysis, such as MGS4, Dead Space, Killzone 2, etc., but none have completely obliterated it like Uncharted 2 has. The production quality of this game is higher than many hollywood blockbusters.

IMO, Killzone 2 is probably second to U2...

P.S. -- I don't really consider Crysis' graphics to be all that great but it's what many consider the be the high-water mark of graphics. I think many of the PS3 titles I mentioned above are actually a lot better looking than Crysis. I guess it's because of all the leaves... ?

What do you guys think?

When I first got it, I didn't like it. The controls seemed really heavy and slow and for the longest time it just gathered dust on the shelf. I finally gave it a second chance and found out that it's one of the best games on the PS3. The controls take some getting used to, but once you do, this game is a blast. Going on flag runs is such a rush lol. I haven't had this much fun on an online shooter since Quake 2... and that's saying something. There isn't any single player campaign or story mode, but it was never meant to be a single player game.

Demon's Souls

I've only had it for a couple of days now but it's instantly a PS3 classic. I was skeptical at first from the looks of the intro movie and GS's video review, but after having spent time with it, I'm completely satisfied with my $60 purchase. The graphics are great, the character designs are awesome, and the gameplay is nice. This is a solid game. It's definitely one of the hardest games I've ever played and I don't really consider myself to be a hardcore gamer, but this game is actually fun despite being punishingly difficult.

Creative Blaster 3DFX Voodoo2 8mb PCI

This was back in '98 and I was so happy to get this card. I was finally able to run Quake 2 in all it's glory; man those were the days! I'm still playin' PC games nearly 11 years later and I still have myself a beast of a system. ;)

I've had mine since the beginning of the year and it's been handling everything I throw at it. It's the most powerful video card I've ever owned and makes my ePen*s feel nice and big. However, this is kind of a double edged sword. You see, as the abover poster said, it costs about as much as a PS3 does, but yet there isn't really any PC games that make it worth owning such an expensive/powerful card.

Ultimately, if you can afford to part with such a huge amount of cash, get one. I'm not entirely sure how future-proof this card is, especially when you consider what new games will be coming out in the next 1.5 years. There's only a handful of them and even these upcoming titles may have support for the newer better DX 11, which renders you $400 investment obsolete...

Either way though, it's a great card. I recommend it after all is said and done... :]

Good choice. :] Well, you can use any PCIe card. I suggest you spend anywhere from $200 to $300+ on NewEgg. You can use either nVidia or ATI.

You missed the point. Calm down. The bottom line is: Upgrade to PCIe.
