SILENT HILL 2

on regular xbox.

Its the most symbolic game ever created.

Everything is a symbol, every character is deep.

If you finish it, and dont think about the game afterwards, then you really missed the whole point.

There is 100x more to it then just running through it.

Shmiity

I've needed to play through Silent Hill 2, at the very least once, why the Xbox one over the PS2? any reason? Or are you just familiar with the Xbox one because it's the one you played.

I've heard Shadow of the Colossus is fantastic, I just need to figure out where I can get a copy of it.
Thanks for the help guys, I got a bigger list now, I was afraid I'd just have to resort to RPGs until I found characters I liked lol.

Assassin's Creed I also hear Crisis Core is really good. I actually have it but I'm no where near beating it. I only think its alright so far though.Crash6

I think one of my friends recently beat Assassin's Creed, I'll see if he's willing to lend it to me over the summer break or something. Thanks. I've been needing to get some use out of my 360..although it'll see more play with the Summer rolling around for Halo 3, and I just got COD 4 as well =D

FFVII:Crisis Core will have you crying I'll say that much

MGS is possibly the greatest piece of storytelling ever

Final Fantasy X is a good one, especially towards the end

in fact, pretty much any Japanese game, they tend to have more soulful storytelling

O and just a note, its spelt Aerith not Aeris, Aeris was a typo that occured when FFVII was shipped out

If your looking for more Sci Fi western styles, go for Mass Effect and I would say the Witcher would also be good if u like fantasy

DiabolicalX

I greatly appreciate it, thanks, I've looked into Crisis Core, and it seems pretty interesting.

I've also recently "acquired" a copy of Metal Gear Solid.

I still need to get a copy of FFX I lost my copy of FF X-2...although..I only bought it for the combat system. (And no, not for the trio of girls X-.-;; )

I've read more than enough times, stories and testimonies from other gamers going so far as to even cry for a video game character.

Before you read any further, I'd just like to say, I'm not making fun of individuals that feel moved, emotionally sometimes, by video game characters. In fact, I'd say I'm jealous.

I've read stories of people doing things like crying when Aeris dies, or other things I can't even think of at this time, forgive me Gamespot.

I'm seveteen, and I've been gaming since about six or seven, rougly a decade, and I've had a difficult time delving into storylines. Maybe I'm playing the wrong games or something.

I did recently beat Halo for the first time, and it got me very interested in the storyline, and I feel sad that I didn't get to experience it when the game was first released on the Xbox.( I own the PC version)

So I ask you for help Gamespot. Could you help to give a game, a few games, a list of games; that have a compelling storyline? I know obvious choices would be anything in the Final Fantasy series, but specific examples would be nice, and things outside of RPGs is more than welcome.

Thanks for any help Gamespot.

By the way, as most of you know, we're in a time that really it doesn't matter what system it's for, I'll be able to play the game somehow. (Please exclude PS3 and Wii though ^_^:; I don't have those =D ) So keep those lists broad!

I've got some heavy contenters for my my list as of right now, here are most of them, if not all.

If some of these are what you're going to suggest, I guess it's alright if you don't post, unless you'd really like to voice what exactly it is about this game, to help me out in deciding if I'd like to try it. Any posts are welcome though.

Thanks alot Gamespot.

If it has invert support I'll invert it. But I agree with many of you, PC games, always normal. Flight games, always inverted.

I'm glad 360 has the auto invert option for gamer profiles =P

I was wondering something, how many of you on gamespot play with your Y axis inverted? Doesn't matter if it's a shooting game, or any other game with a Y-Axis camera control.

I'm always being hassled by my friends, complaining about "dude, why do you play inverted man?".
The only reason I can see that I play inverted, is from games back on N64, Conker's Bad Fur Day for example, which was inverted, and had no method of switching it.

What do you play, Inverted, or Normal?

See ya 'round Gamespot.

I also completely agree with this. I don't know how many times I have booted up my 360, stuck in a game and as it's loading up I say to myself, "why am I not playing my N64? Why am I playing this garbage perfect dark on 360, when I could play it on N64?"

Maybe it's because they've been with us longer and we get this thrill out of going back to them, but I have the most difficult time getting into current or even recent gen console games. I see things as going downhill, but maybe that's just the way I feel, and nothing more.
