Seriously I dont see why PS3 cant handle Alan Wake, since its sub-HD and didnt see the media stating its the best looking console title or else its the largest open world title currently available on consoles...

Alan Wake is still polished anyway, plus it has some intense lighting that we haven't even seen on any PS3 exclusive.

You have picked up a faulty copy of the game, unless the levels you are playing are complicated. Lag can be caused by lots of different stickers on a single object, but mainly from lots of gadjets. If the thermometer in create mode overheats, it means the level will most likely lag.

Try opening and cleaning it up. Also check for damage on the button itself. If it doesn't work or if you can't do it yourself, try contacting someone who can repair it, like a service or something.
