Doom II still looks pretty slick, from an artistic stand-point. You could tell the graphical artists chose to adopt elements of cubism into their work, which, when viewed from afar, represents physical objects, but up close, seems like a screenshot from someone playing Tetris. In all seriousness, most games are very pretty these days. Crysis is just more shiny than the rest.
This man echoes my opinions. Except cut out Arcanum, elves shouldn't be wielding flamethrowers, no way, no how. I don't care about the lore behind it. Although, possibly make wizardry IX less of a grindfest. Takes ages to level in the last title.
I know some real-life hacks man. Do the optional College sub-quest, it saves you from grinding later on in the 'Taco Bell Bathrooms clean-up' mission for worthless drops. Besides, on Fridays the mobs can 1-hit-KO you easily.
The game should run like butter for your PC on high settings. If you want to be a jerk though, set it to 8x anti-aliasing, and invite your friends to watch. Insist that they play on your computer, and keep mentioning how much better this probably looks on your computer than their outdated cardboard scrapheap.
Personally, I think blizzard is foolish, they should've hired their own team of chinese reviewers to offset the low scores. It's what any self respecting company would do, naturally. So, they could've had LAN just like their previous title but they didn't? Seriously guys, why do you stand for this. If you're paying good money for the campaign, you should atleast expect full multiplayer functionality. And don't start with the argument that this deters game theft, it won't, some group will find a workaround, and only the paying customer will be punished. It is ample reason to lower the scores given for the game.
