Are you saying that it would be unreasonable to buy the console that has the games that appeal to you most? That it would be reasonable to buy a console with games that you don't enjoy as much because the GPU/processor are superior?[QUOTE="AfterShafter"][QUOTE="CarlosPontinas"]Reasonable means there's a dimension of thought that goes into making a decision. I think that a machine with the best hardware under the hood, for the best price is what a reasonable person will go for. It's really that simple.CarlosPontinas
Maybe I'm unreasonable, but I support the XBOX and the XBOX 360 because I enjoyed the hell out of their games. Their hardware was just icing.
You're getting swamped here, and I understand that makes it hard to argue. Happened to me many a time. I just don't feel that your base point is accurate... The XBOX's hardware has been top of the line for two generations, but it is the games that make a console worth buying... In my estimation at least. The hardware can help that along, but it is only part of the equation.
Perhaps you fail to appreciate the same game presented on two systems with different qualities in the hardware dept. end up being different in quality.
Think about this before you assume that your argument is effective and before you think I'm getting swamped.
Only problem with what you said is that no one bought the Wii for multiplats.

That's why it's still hard to get?? That's why everyone is always asking me if they can come over and play the Wii?? People are dumb. What do you expect?
Yep because the only way not to be dumb is to think exactly like you. Right? Let's not mince words here. Anyone willing to buy second rate hardware simply because they saw people waving their hands about are not the sharpest knives in the draw.
No one bought the Wii because they saw people waving their arms around. They bought it because they think it's fun, myself included. You are not going to convince him. Look at how he already made up his mind. He doesn't realize how foolish he is and ignorant (not in the insulting way, lack of knowledge). Narrowminded fanboys like him oversimply the system and they can't stand that a inferior graphic system is so successful. Its important to them to have the best selling console for some reason so they lash out like a frightened troll. Wii is crashing their success party.Read what you've just typed.
Read it slowly -- after you've taken some deep breaths.
Now. Contrary to your unfortunate projections I don't spend time thinking about these things. As soon as I saw the Wii, the quality of its case, the hardware specs and the advertising strategy, I knew I wouldn't buy one.
I'm not in the market for trying out refurbished gimmicks. The Wii uses ancient technology, repackaged for today's dummies.
There was no emotion in my decision. I'm after a next generation games console.

Oh, I know I'm not going to convince him anything. I just find it fun to argue with ignorant fanboys.

I couldn't of said that better myself.

[QUOTE="InfamousC"][QUOTE="CarlosPontinas"]e [QUOTE="InfamousC"]Wii sales thus far reflect public reaction to a gimmick control system. There's a finite number of fools willing to pay for trash. The wiis sales reflect that and when they drop will prove that. Only a fool would buy a Wii.If Wiis sells are anything to go by I think you are wrong buddy.
CarlosPontinas
Ok.. theres 5 million fools and counting..
If PS2 sales are anything to go by there are awful lot of fools in this world. I'll discount the 5 mill simpletons who fell for the wii gimmick, but if sales like that continue then I weep for this world.I weep for people who are ignorant.
