I'm honestly not expecting much from it other than graphics, but I like the devs and it's only $18 so I think a purchase is in order. I hope I'll be pleasantly surprised since reviews indicate it's a nice alternative to mainsteam multiplayer shooters (which I avoid for the most part).

I had great fun with the first while it lasted, but I found it got very repetitive in a short amount of time. From what I've played of L4D2 I feel it'll be the same situation. Though the gore and blood effects in L4D2 are amazing and I'm sure the new infected will spice up the gameplay.

The information was taken from the PCGA Horizon Report from all aspects of PC gaming (link). The report shows growth out of the PC gaming industry and it doesn't show signs of slowing down.

I refuse to recognize a website called the PCgamingalliance. Sounds just lieka fanmade site to me.

Really. So Capcom, Epic Games, Gamestop and Nvidia all joined this 'fanmade' site? When something proves you wrong do you always refuse to recognize it?

Okay if it is too hard to keep track of DD sales why don't they try to keep track of it then? ISn't is irresponsible not to? I mean those numbers should be known so we know how good the industry is doing don't you think?

Aku101

We already know the PC gaming industry is doing more than fine.

Ok then what are the numbers for DD sales? Why aren't they being released? Not many people still buy from steam. Most people buy from retail and PC gaming is the smallest platform for gaming with the smallest userbase. DD has not yet fully taken off so I doubt many people use DD to purchase PC games.

Aku101

Actually, PC gaming features the largest userbase globally. And PC gaming revenue has been rising, mostly due to the migration to DD over retail.

Probably one of the worst anti-PC threads I've ever read, and that's saying a LOT.

As most of the time their best on PC, I buy them for my PC. This only changes if there are any significant benefits for buying them for a console.

Machinarium, Wipeout HD, Time Gentlemen Please!, Tales of Monkey Island and Braid. I've enjoyed others, but these games stood out in my mind.

DLC is the only way for console gamers to prolong their games (some exceptions), so developers and publishers exploit this by selling lots of overpriced DLC. PC gamers have had free user created content for years, so they obviously don't feel the need to slap down money whenever their game starts to feel tired. To PC gamers paying for DLC is devolutionary.
