So by seeking out used games at a time when publishers are trying to push for the new consoles to not play used games, you are... actively trying to help their case? and trying to trick people into going along with you? or too naive to understand you're doing more harm than good? Not sure. Please elaborate.
To the author and everyone else trying to get views by rallying the commonfolk against "the evils of on disc DLC" PLEASE STOP MAKING THE VIDEO GAME INDUSTRY WORSE. You rally against on disc dlc and now try to shoehorn skylander into it, when you ARE getting a toy. But what is your end game? They remove on-disc DLC, and just sell it to you separately so the consumer is now responsible for bandwidth to download it also! GENIUS! Or with Skylanders, they would have to put a mini flash card into the figure so that the content can be read instead of unlocked. All this creates is a higher cost to consumers. Please THINK THIS ONE THROUGH before you just do another protest against big corporations just because theyre trying to make a buck. There are plenty of places to attack the rich and greedy that make sense. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM.
Except that AC1 was a pretty new idea. And AC2 built on it very well. Yes, Brotherhood and Revelations milked the franchise a bit, but the multiplayer was actually awesome and the games were still fun (well, Brotherhood was, I havent sat down with revelations yet) A lot of times pre-ordering the sequel isn't so much of a "keep shoveling more of the same" but a "I bought the last game used/at a discount and I loved it so I want to support you." I think pre-ordering 7 months early is ridiculous because you'll almost always get a better deal.
