He's 100% right. As gamers we should absolutely calling bullish!t on the things that are hurting the hobby we love. Micro-transactions, etc…. but slamming another system and/or it's games is stupid. If you're a Sony fan imagine how crappy the PS4 would be without the XBOX, 360 and ONE forcing them to be better and vice-versa. Imagine if there was no Nintendo? The more players in the game the better.
