@boodger: They don't, not these days. They used to matter when they actually knew what made a good movie good, now most critics are more concerned about wildly different things. And yeah, most of these new stories are not very well written, actually most are pretty uninspired and bland.
@boodger: Promise me that you'll never in a million years become a film critic. If you think that from a storytelling point that this is the best the mcu has been, then oh boy I'm sorry but you know little about writing good stories and characters.
@boodger: Yeah sure, they are doing just fine. But what you claimed is this is the best the mcu has ever been. Both the box office, streaming numbers and customer reviews have proved otherwise. And ms whatshername getting excellent critic reviews? Dude you know how much critic scores matters these days, it's a total joke. It is basically a failed comic book character that very few people were interested in, as proven by book sales. Moon Knight did good though, that's kind of a surprise.
@boodger: What I find a bit funny is you claiming the mcu has never been better but when I check the numbers, only three of the recent movies are in the top 30. And oh boy let's not talk about audience scores, which are the ones we care about because critics has proven themselves to be quite useless.
