They overcooked a turkey, then fired the kitchenware. I sincerely hope the governor, taxpayers and now out-of-work staffers can find some kind of justice from these toxic decisions.
Actually this is a pretty sharp idea from LucasArts. Lately from them I feel like we've taken only steps down. These people brought us X-Wing Alliance and Jedi Outcast, and it's sad to think that's their peak.
Here's to hoping they give this one some of that good old-fashioned quality.
Somehow everything made for the kinect, short of those dancing /workout games, seems terribly forced. A lightsaber is an object a Jedi would hold, a wand is an object a wizard would hold, and here they are grinning as they boast their games don't even use controllers.
I've become wary of games whose budget outweighs the common sense used to make it.
"My game failed to the tune of 1.7 million units short of breaking even, so it's definitely a political office's fault and not mine." -An Unemployed Creative Director.
This is blatant. If Activision had only their cited motive, they would've fired these two guys without penalizing them the imminent royalties. I hope they take Activision for the royalties and for ownership of the brand they created, leave them with a stinging lesson for how to treat creative talent.
I've only heard of GAME twice. The first was when they dropped the ball on ME3. The other time was when they dropped the ball on Diablo 3 and raised the white flag. Am I in the wrong business? If I did half as badly, I'd be out on the street and here's these guys getting pulled out of the frying pan.
EA should look into starting a project that involves less DLC gouging and assembly line mindlessness that's taken over their studios' workflow over the last ten years. It's never too late for them to stop being a nuisance to the industry.
