People need to worry less about figures.720p is the majority of high tech games on consoles and is fine.Some would argue(I agree)it's better than 1080i(which I prefer for film) for games due to the nature of game movement.Motorstorm looks great,as does Resistance(and of the course the incredible Killzone footage).Isn't Halo3 30fps?It only matters if a game looks good,runs smoothly and plays well,not the numbers.
only gamespot does it on mine.I stopped looking on my PS3 and just use my PC now.I didn't know the cache solution until now and the worst of it is I'm always telling people "when in doubt on PS3,hit triangle".should use my own advice.
looking at the latest figures I'd say that PS3 now outsells 360 worldwide.Only US is still 360 turf and inly by a small margin now.Europe,Japan,Canada,Australia the PS3 has overtaken 360.Wii is now number 1 with 360 very close behind and PS3 at about 4.5 million(just under half the other 2).Watch the next year,MS will be breaking out the cheque book a few more times as they are now number 3 in world wide sales.
Rubbish.The PS3 is more powerful by a margin and you will see thatwithin the next 12 months.Exclusive games already show superior physics and animation and with the Cell used as shaders or to stream textures(in the future that one)the difference will become apparent.Don't believe that because Sony over hyped that MSs nonsense is any more real.read the stuff writtn by the guys that are working with Cell.it has more than double the on chip memory than the 360 chip and can use individual pools of it for different tasks including supporting the GPU.
The FIFA(I prefer Pro Evo)announcement is actually more like "Madden is out in August and the PS3 will have exclusive rights to the online superbowl".I'm sure no US game fan would be impressed.He is right though,I expected more.I expected Rumble,I expected some new exclusive to be announced amd I expected more from Home.That said Gamespot did report that PS3 Pro Evo soccer is better than 360 in visuals and control,which is nice and a trend I think will increase in the next 12 months.
It's also not true.Midway have quashed this rumour,it's back to the september date.I'll be playing heavenly Sword anyway.Love Hard Boiled but love The Killer even more.
This is a reason for many of us to love the Playstation brand.........constsnt improvement over the lifespan of the console.The xbox,and I believe the 360(that I own)will follow it,will show little imrovement in graphics/physics etc over the course of 5 years.Look at Xbox,the PS2 actually got closer to it during the life of both consoles rather than falling further behind.On PS3 I've seen games that I already believe are not possible to the same standard on 360 and that will only grow.Multi plats will become at least as good on PS3 in the next year,if not better.This always happens on Playstation and never happens to the same degree on Ninty/Xbox hardware.It's one big reason I love the PS brand.
I doI was saying a while ago that something along the line of LA confidential would be great.If they go down that route for story and feel I'll be very happy.Noir and old detective novel types are less represented in games than cowboys.I remember a game on the spectrum that had that feel but we are talking years ago.
Wait a minute.......Is he judging GamePLAY by looking at the trailer.Please.You can spin that anyway you want.1UP had a hand on from the BBC which was very praising indeed.I think it looks great but I can't comment on how it plays until I play it.
