Once again this does not apply to everyone. Just like those above the influence commercials where everyone is lazy but in reality its not true for some people.

I think the creators of this study ment video games as a whole instead of just pc games when they said computer games.

If I had a nickel for every time someone confused cause and effect in a study, I would be rich. :P

Seems perfectly sensible to me, assuming that the article's assertions are true, that someone with those characteristics would be drawn to computer games, not that computer games would somehow cause the person to be that way.

I actually don't 100% agree with this study. I have other mental issues that cause me to turn to gaming more than other people. I don't see the connection that games would cause this behavior all on their own.

But the effect's of my problems, on being that I game to take my mind away, do seem to to relate to the findings of this study, even if the cause is different than what they suggest is the cause. ( they suggest video games)

In this study, gamers were more likely to drink, have low self esteem, ignore their family, have fewer friendships and use drugs.

I have low self esteem (super low =S) and have few friends. At least 4 or 5 times a month i drink alone.

So, do you agree with this study?
