CRT monitor made by nokia, it sucks that it died. It was crt with a resolution of 1600 x 1200ferret-gamer

I have a sony tritron 21 inch @ 1600x1200, its nice but wayyy too big, takes forever to warm up and has far less connections than my current monitor.

Crt is nice, but its time has passed.

[QUOTE="plimpoperp"] it will get my anger out though and this is the 3rd time its died on me, 1st 2 times i was able to fix but this one is impossibleplimpoperp

Seriously, why not send it back for repairs?

No offense, but if you lost your files it becaues you did not back up your files.

Computer equipment is not designed to be thrown away (or destroyed)

thats why i had the hd, to back up my files. well this one wont be designed to get smashed to bits either but it still is

still, why not send it back? I'm sure it cost a fair penny, why waste that money when you can get a replacement?

I am wondering whether I should upgrade my PC for physx so as my 8800gt won't handle physx&rendering very well. I am wondering if the Albatron PCI 8600gt supports physx so that my 8800gt can take care of the rendering. I don't have a spare PCIE16X or 8X slot and PCI is the only way I can go without getting a new MB. My other choice is to take out my 8800gt and replace it with a card like a 9800gx2 or gtx series card and let that take care of both physx&rendering. I am wondering what you others think and whether I should choose either of these or not.

If you want physx, I would go with the 8600. I've read that all 8 series cards support physx.

A single card cannot do gpu and physx work at the same time. Even the 9800gx2. Yes it has two gpu cores but they work as one unit.

convincing. but from reading comments on newegg it seems as though nvidia has better reliability than ati. that might just be me. is it true? and is there no benefit in getting the 1066 over the 800 (for the price of course)?Manibou

Evga has lifetime warrent and good customer support.

Your gtx 260 will run everything.

Ram speed is behind cpu and gpu speed (which you have enough of)

hard drive

so heres the story

today my hd decided to not be recognised by the computer :) 500gb hd 90gb left, full of games, music, movies and tv shows, after much googling i have realised that it never will work again.
so discussing with my friends ive decided to finally buy an internal hd by the best: western digital and i am going to take a hammer to the external :). it will be rated r as there will be much explicit language :)

those who wish to view enjoy! i know i will

If you don't want it, I'll buy it from you. It would be a waste to destory it.

What is the best computer monitor you've ever had?

For me, its my Dell 2007wpf.

Its a lcd so I fits nicely on my desk at school.

Its an I-SPS monitor so its viewing angles are great

It has 1:1 so I can run 1280x1024 games that don't support widescreen and its interpolation is great for 640x480 games.

It has s-video and composite imputs so I can run my old consoles on it

And I can use blu-ray because of HDCP

I think it would make life in OT alot easier, then people who want to talk about religion could fight each other, not bothering innocent bystanders.RushMetallica
