I dig Skyrim and Fallout 3's stories, but I haven't played Mass Effect, which I hear is great

I want to buy a game for the summer, but I'm not sure which one. I'm trying to decide between Max Payne 3 and L.A. Noire.

My most favorite recent games are Fallout 3, Red Dead Redemption, the Grand Theft Auto series, and of course, Skyrim. Based on these likes of mine, which game would be a better fit for me? Thanks
