as long as we dont hear politicians, lobbyists, parenting groups etc complaining that games are ruining our children and encouraging them to become more violent.

@Saladudo: i don;t know if that was laced with patronisation or sarcasm..

but in the grown up world, there is a cause for showing some integrity too.. and there is nothing wrong in sticking with a games-only policy.. also, just as we have "off-topic" boards on forums, we could have non-gaming news related section on gaming websites.. i have nothing against that..

@jacks12345: historically we have had Apple related 'news', i.e marketing, on Gamespot.. this is nothing new.. at least lately they have started posting news about select Android and MS products.. but not as many as Apple-paid articles.
