I wonder if Sony was involved with the gamepass deal or if MLB went behind their backs. Not many people care about MLB but this definitely puts Sony in an awkward position. If Sony wasn't involved, MS just send a pretty clear message that they're done playing nice guy. Hopefully this will wake Sony up a bit, though :)

@mogan: I just think reviews should be totally objective. Here it feels its a 9 because its "free" on gamepass, but how does it compare to similar full priced games? Would you honestly recommend your best friend to buy this for $50 bucks? Its time to put on your tinfoil hats folks as it looks like MS is now spending money to influence Metacritic scores. Cant blame them, of course. That's one way to fight the gamepass fillers narrative.

Is this review sponsored by Gamepass? Come on now, an 8 hour game with wonky animations, slow, uninteresting gameplay and a confusing story is a 9?! I will try this tomorrow because its "free" but it sure is odd how much this review contradicts other reviews lol.

@Blade_Runner_07: I'm more worried what their entire focus on game pass will mean for their 1st party output. We already got a GAAS Halo and now they are saying the Initiative is working on an episodic game... The whole game pass model doesn't seem to work with AAA blockbusters. It works with AA, GAAS and episodic stuff that keeps people engaged with the service. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if MS will do this with most of their big IPs. Play the first 3 levels of the next Doom and then another 3 levels 4 months later.

@systemoverload: Demon Souls is an amazing game but not many people have played it. It was a ps3 exclusive and the genre was kinda niche back then. However, From games have skyrocketed in popularity/sales and loads more people will be interested in this game now. It's basically the perfect launch title.

First next gen console in gaming history that's launching without a single next gen game and has nothing in the pipeline for at least 2 or more years. Yup.. think I'll wait it out lol

Problem with SX is that next gen games get in the way of gamepass. They don't want to release games that require a SX or a beastly PC, they want games that everyone can play. I'm still baffled that Sony turned Horizon Far West into a cross gen title but truth be told, they got an insane lineup for its 1st year.
