Thats hard to tell if old games made me good at new games. Most new games are easy but that could be because I am good at old games. These new games start you with a tutorial in the game play the old games you would have no tutorial and you would half to guess not only the controls but the game play its self. The new games almost can beat them selves old games you really need to work at. So I guess it is a yes
The hardest NES games I have ever played were Contra I could beat this, Ghostbusters I can make it to the begening of the Zule building, Back to the Future made it to the bar part on level 2, Ghosts'n Goblins ha ha ha level 2 you want a hard game play that, and Mickey Mousecapade level 3. They are hard but thats what makes them fun.
The oldest console I have is a ColecoVision from 1982 I gave 5 bucks for it and i got about 12 games, 3 super action controlers, and Expansion Module #1 and the game that goes with it.
The hardest bossfight i have ever seen is in Tales of Symphonia but it is a side quest. The devels arms quest the boss has 120,000hp and you need to be level 70+ that was one thing in that game I could not beat.
