It doesn't have an automatic, it goes 1-11 in channels i'm wondering which one is best. I'm only asking because i've heard theres a better channel.

I had this same problem when I tried getting my PSP to connect to my online. All I did was restore my PSP to factory defaults and it did the trick. I'm not sure if it's your problem but this is what worked for me.

Does anyone know what the best channel to have my router set at for the PSP? I cant remember so i'm just making sure I have it on the best setting...
