Episode 220: Carry the Memories, Gusty Kid!

In a room filled with flowers and greenery, Willas is sitting there reading a book. He hears laughter and looks up, closing his book. He gets up and walks out of his room, seeing a green door slightly ajar. Wills walks in and steps on a cloud, the room being nothing but clouds over a blue sky, and sees Raiza rolling on the ground laughing

Sir Willas: What may I ask is so funny?

Sir Raiza: Oh Willas, you heard all that?

Sir Willas: I could hear you laughing like a lunatic from my room. What are you doing in here?

Sir Raiza: Eh, nothing special. Watching the show

Sir Willas: The show?

He sits down and sees the duel happening on an image

Sir Willas: My, is that Corvus?

Sir Raiza: Yup.

Sir Willas: Interesting. I was under the impression he was under seal with the Constellation Demons. How did he get free and obtain a physical body?

Sir Raiza: Well, the seal around him was pretty weak. So it was an easy matter to crack it and free him. As for the body, Granmarg supplied me with a shabti to act as his vessel. And here we are.

Sir Willas: I see. You're testing his power.

Sir Raiza: Gotta make sure he's worth it. Come on, pull up a chair. After all, I think its' going to be quite a show

Opening

At the duel, [Corvus LP = 1500][Raythe LP = 1200], Corvus has Constellation Demon- Corvus [ATK 3000/DEF 2000 LV 9] and no other cards on the field. Raythe has only a set card and nothing else

Corvus: Yes, my monster! Spread your wings! Bask in the light of freedom! As soon as kill Raythe, this will be eternal!

Enzan: What the hell is going on?! Corvus and his Constellation Demon should have been sealed away along with all the other Constellation Demons! How is he free?!

Yuji: I don't know…hm. Enzan, stay here with Raythe's uncle. I'm going to look around a little

Enzan: Huh? What for?

Yuji: I'll explain later. Right now, just trust me.

He runs off as Enzan sighs

Enzan: Why am I getting stuck with this guy. Uh…no offense.

Shigeru: None taken….

Corvus: Alright, I'm hungry for freedom now. Constellation Demon- Corvus, attack Raythe directly. Go, Black Whirlwind!

Raythe: Trap card, Dark Wall of Wind! When this Trap card is activated, all damage I take from direct attacks is negated.

The attack hits a barrier and the wind is reflected off the walls and begins to blast the buildings around the area. Rubble is tossed around as Shigeru and Enzan jump back

Shigeru: What on earth is going on here?! Why is this duel causing real damage?!

Enzan: That's Corvus's power, and Raythe's as well. When they fight, they have some kind of power that makes their attacks real

Shigeru: Really? Where on earth did Raythe get those powers from?

Enzan: He…just had them. I can't tell him. That it was his sadness and anger that made the powers.

Corvus: Aw, you're still alive? Too bad. I wanted to see your guts splattered against the walls. Well, there's always next turn. Turn end.

Raythe: Gr….I didn't expect you to summon something like that. But at least you stopped copying my deck

Corvus: Are you still going on about that? Don't act so selfish and think only you can use that deck

Raythe: You're really getting on my nerves now. I'm done fighting you. I draw. I summon Sky Striker in defense mode [ATK 1100/DEF 700 LV 3]. I end my turn

Corvus: Aha ha ha! After that big speech, you couldn't do better than a monster in defense mode monster! My sides are splitting, I mean it! My turn. I set a card. Corvus, let's have a little more fun! Attack Sky Striker!

Corvus shoots a powerful gust from its mouth that blows away Sky Striker. The wind blows Raythe back and he almost falls down. He snarls as a rock on the ground is blown to his head and hits him, making the spot above his right eye bleed.

Corvus: Well, it's a start. I set a card and end my turn

Shigeru: Raythe!

Enzan: Hold on, you can't go out there!

Shigeru: But Raythe…

Enzan: Like I said, don't go out there. Raythe wouldn't want anyone interfering with his fight, the idiot. Besides, sit and watch. Raythe is an arrogant prick but his skill is worth respect.

Raythe: It's my turn. I summon Needle Wing in defense mode [ATK 200/DEF 1000 LV 3]. I set a card and end my turn

Corvus: Playing defense isn't going to protect you forever! My turn! Constellation Demon- Corvus attacks! Trap card, Strike Slash. This raises the power of a monster by 700. And when it attacks a monster in defense mode, it deals Piercing damage [ATK 3700/DEF 2000 LV 9]. Looks like this is endgame!

Raythe: Didn't want to use this yet…Trap card, Shady Dealings. I discard one card from my hand to the graveyard [Simorgh, Bird of Ancestry] and add a card from my deck to my hand. Now by discarding Wing Cocoon to the graveyard, I negate damage I take from a battle or a card

Cocoon wraps around Raythe and the wind diffuses around him.

Shigeru: Raythe's dueling skills…they are so much like his mother. It's almost like…my sister is back and fighting right in front of me

Raythe: Since Needle Wing was destroyed, 400 points of damage are dealt to the opposing player

Needles appear and stab Corvus [Corvus LP = 1100]

Corvus: I was getting so excited too. Oh well, if I'm waiting this long, your death is sure to be a sight to see. I think I'll set a card as well. Turn end

Raythe: It's my turn. I use the effect of Skeletal Bald in my graveyard. If he is in the graveyard, he counts as a Tuner monster. And I can remove him and one other monster from platy and perform a Synchro Summon

Corvus: A Synchro Summon from the graveyard?!

Raythe: I tune the level 3 Skeletal Bald and the level 4 Storm Prince

Bald becomes 3 rings that Prince flies through, becoming 4 stars [3 + 4 = 7]

Raythe: Winds of bravery and power unite together to create a windstorm of new hope. Synchro Summon! Black Crow Fighter [ATK 2700/DEF 2000 LV 7]

Corvus: It isn't strong enough! All it is is feed for my Constellation Demon!

Raythe: You've forgotten already? When Storm Prince is used as a Synchro material monster, the Synchro monster I summon gains 300 attack points for each non-Tuner monster I used in his summoning. I used two monsters. That means Storm Prince gives Crow 600 attack points [ATK 3300/DEF 2000 LV 7]. Now, strike down his Constellation Demon- Corvus!

Crow takes its axe and flies at the Demon. It shoots wind as Fighter charges through its neck, destroying it. Corvus screams the explosion blows him into the air [Corvus LP = 1200]

Raythe: This is the end. Now, you take damage equal to your monster's original attack points. Finish him, Ebony Crossbow

It shoots a crossbow at Corvus. He simply grins

Corvus: You honestly…think I'd be beaten…by that pathetic little combo!? I'm insulted! Trap card, The Evil Within. When a DARK monster is destroyed, I negate any damage for the rest of the turn. Plus, I can summon a DARK Attribute Synchro monster from my Extra Deck as long as it has a lower level than the DARK Attribute monster that was destroyed. From my Extra Deck, I will summon my own Black Crow Fighter [ATK 2700/DEF 2000 LV 7].

Raythe: Nothing but a cheap imitation of my monster! See, it isn't even matching my monster in terms of attack points! Nothing you try is going to defeat me Corvus! I'll defeat you again like I did in the past! I set a card and end my turn

Corvus: Heh. Ha ha. If you think you've got me down, you're wrong. You honestly think I'm going with the same strategy you defeated? Fool

Raythe: What do you mean?

Sir Willas: My, the Demon is already gone. Perhaps this Corvus fellow is not as strong as I heard

Sir Raiza: Oh, I wouldn't say that.

Sir Willas: You wouldn't? But he can't play anything else. I hate to say it, but this looks like the endgame. After all, the Constellation Demon was destroyed. Raythe hasn't even summoned his Great Condor Ezikiel or Sol-Ray the Condor King. Unless…

Sir Raiza: Sit back and chillax. I got Caius to whip up something special. We're in for a real treat, as you're about to see.

Corvus: It's my turn. Here we go. Raythe, remember when you first summoned Sol-Ray the Condor King? You claimed it was the past and present merging together

Raythe: And so what if I did?

Corvus: Well, get off your high horse then. You aren't the only one with a powerful trump card to play. For you see, I'm now going to merge MY past and present to form my future.

Raythe: What's he talking about?

Corvus: I use the Spell card Dark Calling. This lets me fuse DARK Attribute monsters by removing them from play in the graveyard or field. On the field, I fuse Black Crow Fighter, and in the graveyard, I fuse Constellation Demon- Corvus

Raythe: No way!

Corvus: Let him come…

The tune fuse into the air. Dark cloud swirl around and thunder and lightning reverberate. Yuji looks up

Yuji: What's going on?

The ground cracks and Chais bursts out like a geyser. Yuji looks shocked as the sky keeps swirling and a winged monster slowly descends and blasts Chaos around the area and Corvus is laughing

Corvus: Let him appear, the TRUE king of the sky! I summon Corvus the Sky Tyrant [ATK 4000/DEF 0 LV 10]

Raythe: No way…

Enzan: He never had that card before!

Sir Willas: I see. Very interesting.

Corvus: This is my newest monster. Raythe, this monster will kill you. You can't fight against me! I attack with Corvus the Sky Tyrant. When he attacks a monster, that monster's attack points go down to 0 [ATK 0/DEF 2000 LV 7]

Raythe: An attack power of 0!?

Corvus: I'll finish you now! Corvus the Sky Tyrant, Tyrant Tornado!

It spins around in the air and creates a gigantic tornado. Raythe's monster is blown to pieces as Raythe is also swept into the storm

Raythe: Trap card, Cutting Costs. I send a monster from the deck or Extra Deck to the graveyard and reduce the damage I take by that monster's attack points. What should I do? If I send Sol-Ray the Condor King from the Extra Deck to the graveyard, I'll only take 500 points of damage. But it is also my most powerful monster. If I lose that, there will be nothing I can do. I…I don't have a choice. I send Great Condor Ezikiel from the Extra Deck to the graveyard and negate 3000 points of damage

Raythe is hurled against a building and coughs up blood [Raythe LP = 200]. He slowly slides down the wall onto the ground, where he shivers in pain. Shigeru's eyes widen in horror as he imagines Raythe's mother in his position and tears roll down his eyes. Even more chaos erupts from the ground and Yuji steps back

Yuji: What is causing all of this?!

Corvus: Hey, are you dead? If you are, feel free not to respond

Raythe: You…dick.

Corvus: Well, guess that's a sign. Oh well. I get to have a little more fun. Turn end

Raythe: Damn…I think one of my legs is broken…it hurts to stand…

Shigeru: Raythe!

Enzan: Come on man, don't die!

Raythe: Hmph. Are you…kidding? This barely…qualifies as a tickle. If you really want to hurt me Corvus, you need to try a lot harder!

Corvus: Funny. It looks like you're about to keel over.

Raythe: As if! My turn! I summon Laser Wing in defense mode [ATK 200/DEF 700 LV 3]. Once per turn, he deals 300 points of damage to the opponent

Wing lifts its wings and shoots Corvus. He coughs and steps back [Corvus LP = 900]. He snarls

Corvus: Weak. If you want to deal some real damage, you'd better do better than that

Raythe: It's fine. My monster is in defense mode, so you can't harm me either way. I end my turn with that
Corvus: My turn. Oh man, fate is really against you! It gave me the perfect card I needed to finish you! I equip Corvus the Sky Tyrant with Rebounder Gauntlet. Now whenever he battles a monster, half the attack points of the monster he battles are dealt to the opponent as damage. Laser Wing may only have 200 attack points, so only 100 points of damage will be dealt. But will you be able to stand up to the pain?

Raythe: Damn!

Corvus: I attack! Tyrant Tornado!

It spins around and creates a giant tornado. It fires it from its hand and blasts away Laser Wing as the wind gets closer to Raythe. His eyes widen as he closes his eyes. He doesn't feel wind and sees Shigeru standing in front of him [Raythe LP = 100]

Raythe: You…what the hell are you doing?!

Corvus: Eh?

Shigeru: I won't let you….I won't let you hurt him anymore. The man…my sister begged me to protect!

Raythe: Go away! I don't need your help!

Shigeru: I am prepared to accept that! But Raythe, I care about you! Even if you reject me, I'll still be there! There is no excuse to treat you the way I did. But, I want to make amends Raythe! I'll stand by you, and protect you! Because we're Nakagoes! And a Nakago always protects those close to him!

Raythe looks horrified as Shigeru falls forward.

Corvus: Old fool. I wanted to carve him up anyway. The cause for all our anger. But, first things first.

Raythe: …My turn. Spell card, Angel Baton. I draw 2 cards, and discard one. …Heh. Old man, you're still mocking me aren't you? Corvus, I'm going to kill you now!

Corvus: Why? Because I hurt that pathetic excuse for a human being?! Raythe, he made us who we are today! He made us angry, vengeful, bitter! He should be our first victim!

Raythe: Yes. I used to think that way. But now…I see I was wrong. He made have made us what we are…but it's also because of him I met Yuji! And Luna! And Solana! And everyone else! Like it or not…I grew up because of him. And…I owe him for that! I use Miracle Synchro Fusion. This lets me fuse monsters in the graveyard as long as one is a Synchro monster. I fuse Great Condor Ezikiel and Alector, Sovereign of Birds who are in the graveyard

Ezikiel and Alector fuse, blasting away the black clouds

Raythe: Fusion Summon, Sol-Ray the Condor King [ATK 3500/DEF 3000 LV 10].

Corvus: So now it's a battle of our futures! Of course, Sol-Ray absorbs the attack points of a Winged-Beast monster he battles. But Corvus reduces the power of any monster he battles to 0, plus he deals half that monster's power as damage due to Rebounder Gauntlet! Attack and you take 5750 points of damage! No matter what you try, you lose!

Raythe: Mom and dad….my friends….my uncle….all of you have suffered, not just me. But you've been able t forgive all that and move. Maybe…it's time I finally forgive. I summon Gusty Kid [ATK 800/DEF 800 LV 2]

Corvus: Huh? Gusty Kid?

Shigeru: My sister's…card?

Raythe: Corvus, this is for all the people who have been hurt. All the people that I have hurt. This is where, you die forever, along with the old me. And through the memories inside of Gusty Kid, the new Raythe Nakago will be born! Sol-Ray the Condor King attacks Corvus the Sky Tyrant

Corvus: Don't make me laugh! That zero attack point monster doesn't change anything! Your monster gains power [ATK 7500/DEF 3000 LV 10], but of course, Corvus the Sky Tyrant makes that meaningless [ATK 0/DEF 3000 LV 10]

Raythe: You were right to say this is the endgame. But it's the end for you! I use Gusty Kid's power! He's like the Nakago family. Even when they are not here

Shigeru stands up

Shigeru and Raythe: We always stand by each other

Corvus and Sol-Ray clash in the air, trying to push the other one back. Surprisingly, Kid creates an aura and Sol-Ray begins pushing Corvus back

Corvus: What's going on?! My monster is stronger and…huh?! [ATK 7500/DEF 3000 LV 10]. But…your monster should have lost power!

Raythe: Gusty Kid protects a Winged- Beast monster from being affected by any cards until the End Phase of the turn he is released in. That means Corvus and Rebounder Gauntlet don't affect him

Corvus: No way….

Raythe: Farewell, my old self. I renounce you, as well as everything in the past

Sol-Ray creates a tornado and destroys the monster. Corvus screams as the tornado hits him and rips him apart [Corvus LP = 0]

Corvus: No! I can't let it end here! I can't! I…

His pieces fade away. Yuji looks up as darkness swirls around the Chaos and sucks it up to Caiusm who bottles it

Sir Caius: All this Chaos and valuable data on the Constellation Demons. I would say this is a major success.

He grins and vanishes as Yuji looks angry. Raythe deactivates his Duel Disk and Shigeru stands up

Shigeru: Raythe, are you okay?

Raythe: Don't worry about me. I'm fine. Are you okay?

Shigeru: My back is killing me…but I'm fine. I just…wanted to make sure you were fine.

Raythe: Don't worry. Uncle…I'm not sure I'm ready yet. To come stay with you. I need to figure some things out. But one day…maybe

Shigeru: …I'll be waiting for that day, Raythe

Raythe gives a small smile and walks off.

Sir Willas: So, impressions?

Sir Raiza: Oh yeah. I'm going to have a blast with him

Episode 219: Raythe's Tormented Past

In the night sky across the world

???: It's cold…it's dark. I want warmth…I want light! I want out of this place!

Darkness swirls together and begins to form something

???: What?

??? 2: Yo! You want freedom from your seal?

???: Yes! Yes, I'll do anything! Just let me go!

??? 2: Alright, I'll let you go. But if you want me to do, you'll have to do me a favor. Anything you said?

???: Yes, anything!

??? 2: Alright, how about you take care of someone for me? His name's Raythe Nakago.

???: …Raythe Nakago, you say? Why didn't you say so? I'll be glad to do that! And to be free? No brainer!

Corvus's face appears from the darkness as someone is floating there and grins. In town, Raythe, Enzan, and Yuji are walking down the road.

Raythe: Why am I here?

Enzan: I told you, we need to pick up something for the boss.

Raythe: I'm not asking why WE'RE here. I'm asking why I'M here. Couldn't you two handle this yourselves?

Yuji: The boss asked all three of us to go. If only the two of us went, it would look bad for all three of us. Besides, you didn't have anything better to do in your spare time.

Raythe: It's my day off. Shouldn't I get a day to rest on my day off?

He walks right into someone as he drops his bags

Raythe: Sorry

???: It's quite alright. Don't….Raythe?

Raythe looks at the man and he turns pale. He takes a step backwards as the man steps forward.

Man: Raythe…it is you, right?! Raythe!?

Raythe pushes him down and runs off. Enzan runs over and grabs him

Raythe: Let me go! Let go of me!

Enzan: What the hell is your problem!? You don't just push someone down!

Yuji: Are you okay?

Man: Yes. I don't blame him for acting like that. I can say I deserve that. Let me introduce myself. I am Shigeru Nakago. Raythe's uncle.

Opening

In an apartment across town, Shigeru is serving Yuji, Enzan, and Raythe tea. Yuji and Enzan accept it as Raythe sits there glaring outside.

Enzan: So you're Raythe's uncle?

Shigeru: That's right. I think you already know the story. When Raythe's parents died when he was very young, he was sent to live with me. And of course, his parents were killed in an accident. My sister and her husband. After that, Raythe was sent to live with me.

Raythe: Hmph. If you called me here to tell me obvious crap I already know, this was a bigger waste of my time than I thought

Shigeru: Raythe, please…

Raythe: Shut up you old a [ss] hole! You made my life a living hell! Now you expect me to just grin like an idiot and forgive you will that loser over there!?

Enzan: Hey!

Shigeru: Raythe, please, just here me out! I…I'm not going to ask you to forgive me. I was wrong Raythe. Wrong for blaming you

Raythe: Blaming me? Blaming ME? What the hell did I do?!

Shigeru: You don't understand Raythe! You may have lost your mother, but I lost my sister! You were an only child Raythe, and you were just a little kid at the time. You couldn't have understood the pain I went through…knowing the sister I grew up with was gone forever. And when you were put into my custody, all I saw in you was my sister. Those fierce eyes, that defiant attitude….that dueling skill. Even now, you are the splitting image of my sister

Raythe: Yeah? My mother was a duelist you say? Well, neither of us will get a chance to see her duel now. And you say you suffered a lot. What about me?! I lost both my parents, and then put into the care of someone who doesn't give a damn! Enough of this! I'm leaving!

Yuji: Raythe, he did try to find you after all this time. Shouldn't you at least hear what he has to say?

Raythe: He can shove his words up his butt! I don't want anything to do with him anymore!

Shigeru: I see Raythe. I knew I should have expected that reaction. If I was treated the same way, blamed for something I had no part in, I would feel the same way. It's funny. After all these years, I tried to find you the day you joined the Dark Claw. I went from town to town for years and now I've finally found you, hoping you might have forgiven me. I guess I was a fool for thinking that

Raythe: You shouldn't have wasted my day off telling me obvious crap I already knew.

Shigeru: I understand if you want to cut me out of your life. But first, at least take this card. It was the reason I went looking for you

He stands up and hands Raythe a card. Raythe looks suspicious and takes it, glancing at it

Raythe: Gusty Kid? What the hell is this?! You came this way to give me such a trash monster?! Are you making fun of me!?

Shigeru: Raythe, this card belongs with you. Because you see, it was the last memento your mother came to me before she died.

Raythe's eyes widen and Enzan spits out his tea as Yuji simply looks at him with disgust. Shigeru closes his eyes and remembers. Shigeru is in a living room serving tea to a woman

Woman: I'll be going soon.

Shigeru: Sis, are you sure you want to go? After all, that area is supposed to be really dangerous. There are all sorts of stories with rockslides and avalanches. And you've got a four year old at home.

Woman: Yes. Raythe….he's growing up so fast. It'll make me sad we'll be away for his birthday

Shigeru: Sis, please don't go! It'll be dangerous if you go! What if you die and leave me and Raythe all alone?!

Woman: I understand that may happen. Listen, I was approached some time ago by a man named Michael. He asked me if I wanted to know Raythe's birthright, as well as his true power, I should go there. And well, I don't want Raythe to grow up not knowing who he is. All the other kids are scared of him. I'm a little scared of him too. But…I'll go to find out. So then I can look at him and know he shouldn't be feared.

Shigeru: Sis…

Woman: Before I go, take this

Shigeru: Gusty Kid? But sis, this is your favorite card!

Woman: I know. And if something should happen to me, I want you to give this card to Raythe. And let him know this card represents the Nakago family. Even if we are all in a bad situation, we rely on each other and our friends to make it through

The flashback ends. Enzan seems to be tearing up

Shigeru: So that's why this card should be yours. I should have given it to you a long time ago. So I give it to you, along with a request. Raythe…please come back to live with me

Raythe's eyes widen

Shigeru: I did neglect you. I did make you what you are. I understand that, and I'm sorry. I promise Raythe, I'll raise you right. This time we can be a family.

Raythe: …Heh. After all these years….after all you've done to me, you show up. And you think a piece of paper and a promise can convince me? Well, you can go to hell! And use this card as your one-way ticket! I renounced myself as a Nakago the day I left you!

He throws the card at Shigeru and storms off.

Yuji: Raythe!

Enzan: He's being sincere!

Raythe: Hmph!

Shigeru: Raythe, please! I beg you!

He grabs Raythe's hand

Raythe: Don't you fare touch me swine!

Suddenly the earth shakes. Raythe's eyes widen as he turns and opens the door. People are running in panic as cars fly through the air as someone begins to laugh and runs by. He stops running and backs up, seeing Raythe and he grins

Corvus: It's been a long time….Raythey

Raythe: Corvus….

Enzan: Corvus?! But that guy should have been sealed away!

Shigeru: What's going on here?! Why is there a second Raythe?!

Yuji: That isn't Raythe. His name is Corvus. Some time ago, he was part of a group called the Nebula Warriors and threatened the city. I never fought him myself, so I can't say much about him. But he and Raythe…are mortal enemies

Raythe: So you're still alive, are you Corvus?

Corvus: Indeed. When you defeated me, that little punk Artemis sealed me with the other Demons at the cost of his life. The darkness…the cold…it enveloped me like a cage and crushed the life out of me. And the only thought that kept me going…was revenge! Revenge on you, Raythey! And one day, I heard a voice. Telling me I could free if I killed you. And hey, when someone offers you a deal like that, you don't say no!

Raythe: Hmph! That's fine! I'm crush you once and for all!

Corvus: Man I've been waiting for this!

Both: Duel!

Raythe vs Corvus. [Raythe LP = 4000][Corvus = 4000]. Corvus's Disk appears on his arm and Raythe's disk activates.

Enzan: Hey, the constellation isn't appearing.

Corvus: This body is only temporary. Besides, I can only use a small portion of my power due to that seal.

Raythe: I don't care if you're strong or weak, I'm going to pound you flat regardless!

Shigeru: Raythe…

Corvus: Me first! I draw! I summon Shield Wing in defense mode [ATK 0/DEF 900 LV 2]. I set a card and end my turn.

Raythe: Shield Wing huh? You're still copying my deck you charlatan?

Corvus: There's no need to call me names….Raythey

Raythe: You're one to talk. I draw! As there are no monsters out, Silence Eagle can be Special Summoned [ATK 0/DEF 0 LV 1]. Now I summon the Tuner monster Tornado Fighter [ATK 1700/DEF 0 LV 3]. I tune the level 3 Tornado Fighter and the level 1 Silence Eagle

Fighter becomes 3 rings that Eagle flies through, becoming 1 star [3 + 1 = 4]

Raythe: Winds of bravery and power unite together to create a windstorm of new hope. Synchro Summon! Assassin of the Sky [ATK 1700/DEF 1000 LV 4]. I attack Shield Wing

Corvus: Shield Wing negates his destruction by battle at least twice!

Raythe: That may be. But Assassin of the Sky deals Piercing damage.

He begins to laugh as Raythe snarls. Corvus looms over the battlefield shrieking into the sky.

Neo: My turn. I summon Vylon Dart [ATK 1400/DEF 400 LV 4]. Once per turn, if this card is in attack mode, it deals 400 points of damage to the opponent. Straight Shot!

Dart points forward and launches at Chimera. He holds up his arms as he is tackled into a wall [Chimera LP = 3300]. He actually coughs, but catches himself in time and covers the mouthpiece of his visor with both hands.

Neo: He still isn't speaking. What's with this guy? I set a card and end my turn

Chimera's Duel Disk: My turn. Draw Phase. Main Phase. I use the Spell card Core Salvage. This lets me draw a card for every Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru card in the graveyard. There are two Cores in the graveyard, which means I draw 2 cards. Now Koa'ki Meiru Valafar attacks Vylon Dart

Neo: Trap card, Waboku! This lets me negate an attack and reduce any damage I take this turn to zero!

Valafar shoots fire as Waboku blocks the fire

Neo: He doesn't have a Core in his hand. Hopefully that will finish off Koa'ki Meiru Valafar.

Chimera's Duel Disk: I set a card. End Phase. At this time, I discard Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru to the graveyard and negate the destruction of Koa'ki Meiru Valafar.

Neo: What? He sent his third Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru to the graveyard? But he's only allowed to have three of the same card to be in his deck. If all three are in his graveyard, he can't use it to prevent the destruction of his Koa'ki Meiru monsters anymore. What is he thinking?

I Special Summon Vylon Cube and Vylon Stella [ATK 800/DEF 800 LV 3][ATK 1400/DEF 200 LV 3].

Armen: Hm?

Neo: I double tune the level 3 Vylon Cube, level 3 Vylon Stella, and level 4 Vylon Ohm.

Cube and Stella become 6 rings that Ohm flies through, becoming 4 stars [3 + 3 + 4 = 10]

Neo: Summon forth, the last and strongest of the robots. Synchro Summon! Burn, Vylon Omega [ATK 3200/DEF 1900 LV 10]

Armen: I see. Your most powerful monster. Or, what you think your most powerful monster is.

Neo: What are you talking about?!

Armen: Use your brain moron. You are my one of my creations. And have you ever seen some of my creations using Synchro monsters?

Neo: Well then I can't be one of your creations, now can I?!

Armen: You still refuse to accept the truth. Honestly, I don't remember programming you to be such a fool.

Neo: Shut up…

Armen: When this duel is over, I'll need to make a diagnostic. Who knows all the damage to my wonderful project after all this time?

Seth: It's going to be a while before I can get this door open. It's really shut tight.

Tamika: What's going on in there?

This lets me summon Koa'ki Meiru Science Lord [ATK ?/DEF ? LV 10]. For every Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru in the graveyard that I removed from play to summon him, I can Special Summon a Koa'ki Meiru monster form my deck with a different name. As there are three removed Cores, I summon three more monsters

Neo: Three more?!

Chimera: Come forth, Koa'ki Meiru Maximus [ATK 3000/DEF 2500 LV 8], Koa'ki Meiru Rooklord [ATK 2800/DEF 2200 LV 7], and Koa'ki Meiru Powerhand [ATK 2100/DEF 1000 LV 4].

Neo: Phew. I was scared for a minute. But even with four Koa'ki Meiru monsters, none of them can match Vylon Omega's 3200 attack points. He doesn't have any Iron Cores in his hand, which means all four of his monsters will be destroyed at the end of the turn. Which means I can finish him next turn.

Chimera: You should have used that card. It would have been more entertaining than this. For every Koa'ki Meiru monster on the field, Science Lord gains 1000 attack points [ATK 3000/DEF 0 LV 10]. Next I equip Koa'ki Meiru Maximus with Core Blaster. Battle. Koa'ki Meiru Maximus attacks your Vylon Omega

Neo: What?! But Vylon Omega has higher attack points!

Chimera: That may be. When a monster with Core Blaster attacks though, if the target is a LIGHT or DARK monster, the target is destroyed right away

Neo: Wait, but Vylon Omega is a LIGHT monster. But that means…

Maximus and Blaster fire beams of energy destroying Omega instantly. Neo is almost blown back as Chimera points

Chimera: Koa'ki Meiru Rooklord, Koa'ki Meiru Science Lord, Koa'ki Meiru Powerhand, finish him

All three charge Neo at once. He only has time to look up and gasp as all three collide with him [Neo LP = 0]. The attacks shake the ground

Seth: What the hell's going on in there?

The doors and windows unlock

Alicia: They're open!

Axel: No way that guy is getting away with this. It's because of him that Silver was taken.

Seth: But what can we do? He has a point. We can't just accuse the most altruistic man in the whole city.

Episode 72: The Silent Chimera, the Core Made Monsters

In a police station, officers are milling around doing nothing of value. Outside, some are standing guard as someone approaches

Officer: Hello? Do you need help?

The man activates his Duel Disk. In a flash of lightning, the man is tossed through the window and slams into the wall

Chief: What the!?

The man steps in. All the officers surround him and activate their Disks

Officer 3: And if you're going to try and fight us or disrupt the peace, it's our job to arrest you!

The man barely moves as Grayson walks up to the building. By then, all the officers are lying on the ground. The man is shown to be Chimera

Grayson: Well done. Your duel skills scare even me sometimes

Chief: Damn it…what do you want you psychopath?

Grayson: There's no need for petty name-calling. You brought this upon yourself by denying my generous offer. But I'll let you go just this once. However, I want a small favor in return. A very small one actually.

Chief: Alright, fine. What your demands you monster?

Grayson: I want to lay a trap for someone. I don't need it done right away. But when the time comes, you will need to play your part in things As will he.

Dex runs up to him

Neo takes the letter and looks over it. Later, he is ripping it open and scans what it says. His eyes widen and he gasps. Minko jumps when he does and Neo smiles, petting it, but still looks greatly distressed. From behind a tree, Chimera walks and gets onto his D- Wheel, racing down the roar. The next day, Neo walks right by Yusuke and Yurashima

Yusuke: Hey Neo. It's…noon. Did you have a rough night?

Neo: I…stayed up the whole night to work on my deck. I was going to enter a tournament in town

Yusuke: Really? That sounds fun. I haven't been in a street tournament in months. I've got a match at the Road Stadium today.

Yurashima: Don't forget. You wanted to become the king.

Yusuke: That's what I thought I wanted. The job's kind of dull actually

Neo: I see. Don't mind me. I'll be back late

Yurashima: You want me to drive you over there?

Neo: No, I can handle it. Besides, the walk would do me good.

He opens the door and runs off

Yurashima: He does seem to be feeling better since yesterday. That's good

Yusuke: I'm worried about him though. He's been acting really weird lately. And he won't tell me what's wrong.

Yurashima: Sometimes people just need space. Give Neo time and I know he'll open up. After all, the heart is not meant to bottle up all your emotions

Neo is walking down the street. Tamika is speaking to someone in a café

Man: It will happen on the day of the ROFGP. While everyone is hyped by the duels, we're going to invade Grayson's private factory. The coordinates are right here.

Tamika: I see. Don't worry, I'll be ready.

Man: That's good.

He stands up and walks away. Tamika is about to get up when Neo walks by the café. Tamika quickly hides behind a table and sees Neo heading towards the train. She looks puzzled and runs behind him. She sees him board the train and it shoots away. Tamika stops to look at the schedule and looks really confused

Tamika: That's odd. Why is Neo going to AllTech at this time of day?

The train pulls into the station as Neo is holding the note in his hands. He looks sad as he whispers the words

Neo: If you want to know the truth, where you belong, come to AllTech at one o'clock tomorrow. Tell no one. Yusuke…I'm sorry. But if I know who I am…maybe I can protect you.

The train pulls to a stop and Neo gets off, walking towards AllTech. He takes a step when he hears the roar of an engine. He turns and only steps back just in time as a D- Wheel jets by, almost hitting him.

Neo: What?!

The rider looks at him and points to a warehouse. He speeds off as Neo takes off after him. The D- Wheel crashes through a window after a large jump and Neo kicks the door open. He takes a step inside when the heavy door slams shut behind him

Neo: What?!

???: Welcome, Neo. Or should I say, welcome back?

Neo turns and sees a man sitting in the shadows high above the ground. Neo looks ahead and sees Chimera standing in front of him

Neo: What's going on? You say you would tell me everything. Answer all of my questions

???: And I will, in due time.

Neo: You'll answer me now! Who are you?! Are the one who controls the Machine Emperors?!

???: I don't believe you're in a position to be asking me questions. If you want any other comments out of me, you'll need to defeat Chimera

Neo: Fine! I'll beat the truth out of you then!

He activates his Duel Disk. Chimera activates his and presses a button

Bergzak cuts it down. Neo is almost blown back, but he stands his ground [Neo LP = 3700]

Neo: Damn it. There are targets now. I have to attack one of the Tokens.

She quickly takes out a phone and dials.

Yusuke and Seth: Direct attack!

Light- Speed Horseman and Color Warrior- Shining White finish off two opponents when they get a call

Seth: AllTech?

Yusuke: Neo…

Dex, Axel, and Alicia also get the call

Alicia: That idiot! Why did he go back to AllTech?!

Dex: Neo…please don't do anything stupid

Axel: Hmph.

Neo slowly gets up and grips his arm where he landed on it

Chimera's Duel Disk: End Phase. I discard Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru and prevent Valafar from being destroyed

Neo: My arm…my arm hurts so much. Why…am I in so much pain?

He looks and turns pale. There is burned off skin showing gray metal underneath

Neo: W…What?! What is this?!

???: So now you know the truth. Neo, tell me, do you think you have a heart?

Neo: A heart…I don't know.

???: Let me answer for you, Sigma

Neo: Sigma? Why are you calling me that?

???: That is your real name. For you see Neo, you are not human. You are an android I created.

Episode 218: Tablet in the Glacier. A Mysterious Power

In the far north, people are drilling all around the ice

Man: Keep going! The oil well should be somewhere around here!

Man 2: Can we please take a break? It's been a few months. And we haven't found any oil well. Where did this tip-off come from?

Man: I told ya already, it's a trustworthy source. Now let's keep…

Man 3: Sir, I found something over here!

As he digs, he reaches down when light pours from it. Everyone is pushed back by the force as a massive explosion blows up, blasting them all back in a snowstorm. One of the men wakes up and dusts himself off. He looks up and his eyes widen in shock as a giant glacier is now sticking out of the ground. The others wake up and see the giant glacier

Man 2: Hey boss, what the hell is that?

Man: How should I know? Look, I'm calling someone about this.

In Sector Seven, a bunch of computer screens are going crazy and blinking rapidly. Cain sits up in shock staring at the energy signature. At the round table, all the Knights are watching this hologram and Chaos King begins to laugh

Chaos King: At last! It is the first! Our plan is finally escalating to phase 2! Mobius, you know what must be done

Sir Mobius: Right away your highness

He jumps up and draws his sword. He swings it through the air and he vanishes in a snowstorm. The man is calling someone as a close-up of the glacier shows that a stone tablet is frozen inside of it

Opening

A jet is flying over the ocean. The Seven Stars are inside with Cain standing before them

Raythe: What's this about? You called us here for no reason

Cain: Sorry to do that on such short notice. But we might have a serious problem on our hands here.

Alice: What do you mean?

Cain: A few hours ago, a mysterious energy signature resonated from the Arctic tundra. Upon a brief scan, the energy signature seemed very similar to our power. The power of the Seven- Star Knight.

Tyson: The power of the Seven- Star Knight? But what does this mean?

Cain: I have no idea. All I know is that one way or another, this energy source would be very dangerous if it gets into the wrong hands. So I'm going to investigate the situation and what this is.

Takimaru: And why did you make us come along?

Yuji: You think the Knights are behind this, don't you?

Cain: In one way or another. Either the Knights are behind this trying to lure us into a trap. Or it could be a dangerous force that if the Knights get, the tide of our battle will change

Luna: I see. That does sound like a bad situation

Cain: We should be landing shortly. Make sure to be on your guard at all times. There's no telling what waits for us there.

In the ice field, soldiers are bowed as Mobius is walking towards the glacier

Soldier: Sir, do you want us to go with you?

Sir Mobius: No. I will go by myself. The rest of you will stay here in case a few pests try to interfere.

Soldiers: Sir!

Mobius walks up to the glacier. He slowly draws his sword and slips his deck into it, getting on the side with the tablet visible. He holds his sword in front of him and draws it back.

Sir Mobius: Your power…will now be the King's!

He stabs the glacier and the tablet with his sword. Massive energy waves flow from the tablet and blows back many soldiers. Mobius stands there forcing his sword in

Sir Mobius: Submit…submit….you will submit!

An energy pillar shoots up as well.

Raythe: What the!?

Cain: This energy…its power is overwhelming

Yuji: Over there! You've got to land over there!

Cain tries to steer the ship, but the massive energy waves keep pushing the jet plane back

Cain: It's not good! That energy signature is so powerful that we can't bypass it!

The soldiers on the ground notice it and take our their weapons

Soldier: Sir, intruders! What should we do!?

Sir Mobius is still standing there with his sword stuck in the tablet. He is grunting and growling in pain as he keeps getting pushed away and he keeps stepping forward

Soldier: What do we do?

Soldier 2: It's obvious. He said himself that we must stop any intruders. In this case, they count.

Solider: You're right.

The jet lands and four snowmobiles launch out

Tyson and Yuji are on one, Alice and Luna on another, Cain and Takimaru on another, and just Raythe on the last

Cain: This as close as we can get in the jet. From this point and onward, it'll have to be on foot.

Yuji: For the energy to be strong it scrambles all technology close to it…what are we dealing with here?

As they ride, more snowmobiles suddenly surround them. Soldiers are on them and point their weapons

Soldier: On the pride of the Knights of the Elemental, you will go no further

Raythe: Hmph. Looks like the little people want a turn. You guys go on; I can take care of them

Luna: Be careful

Raythe: As if you need to tell me that.

The others go on ahead as Raythe slides back to meet the other soldiers

Soldier: You have a lot of nerve. We're going to take care of you so Sir Mobius doesn't have to deal with you!

Raythe: Sir Mobius eh? Sounds like a fun challenge. I'll make this quick then. No sense in dragging it out.

The others keep driving across the ice. Yuji looks ahead and sees the glacier

Yuji: What's going on up there?

Mobius is pushed back more and he pushes forward again

Sir Mobius: Why?! Why won't you accept me as your master! No way or another…you WILL submit!

Cain: I don't know, but it doesn't look good. We should hurry

Even more soldiers drive up and surround them all

Luna: Cain, go on! We'll deal with them!

Cain: Alright, if you're sure.

Tyson: We're going to fight too!

Alice: Do us proud, Sector Seven leader.

Takimaru jumps off the snowmobile and activates his Duel Disk

Takimaru: You guys will make good practice for Willas!

Yuji: We can't let you go any further. So fight us!

As Cain keeps moving, the solider with Mobius sees this

Soldier: Sir, someone has made it this far!

Sir Mobius: I am busy. Lancelot, I leave it to you.

Lancelot: Yes my lord. He will not pass!

He runs and slides down the glacier. Mobius steps forward and his sword sinks deeper into the tablet

Sir Mobius: It won't be long now.

Cain comes to a stop as Lancelot stands before him

Cain: I suppose you won't just let me pass?

Lancelot: That's a laugh. You don't let tar get in the gears of a clock do you? You're done messing up our King's plan, Cain McKnight of the Seven Stars. I'll take you out myself so Lord Granmarg does not have to!

Cain: Well, if you think you can match my power.

He activates his Duel Disk. Lancelot draws his sword and holds it out, slipping his deck inside and it activates

Both: Duel!

Cain vs Lancelot. [Cain LP = 4000][Lancelot LP = 4000]

Raythe: A duel's starting.

Yuji: Cain, be careful.

Sir Mobius: Lancelot, you'd better not fail. All you need to do is buy time. Don't die until then. Afterwards, do whatever you want.

Now I equip Scrap Goblin with the Spell card Synchro Boost. This raises the attack points of a monster by 500 and its level by 1. [ATK 500/DEF 500 LV 4]. I tune my level 3 Scrap Gunter and my level 4 Scrap Goblin

Cain: Trap card, Castle Walls. This raises the defense points of a monster on the field by 500. I pick Gardna [ATK 100/DEF 3100 LV 4]. Now his defense points are higher than your monster's attack points!

The attack bounces off and hits Lancelot: He moans in pain [Lancelot LP = 2600]

Lancelot: Oh yeah? Trap card, Scrap Hinge. This deals any damage I take from a battle with a Scrap monster to the opponent as well

Cain is hit by the rebound as well [Cain LP = 3500]

The tablet floats as Mobius walks over to it

???: Very well. But know this boy. I can grant you immense power. But you will lose your soul at the cost

Sir Mobius: Very well

He stabs the tablet again. The light vanishes as Mobius stand there holding a card. Everyone else runs up

Yuji: You! What is that?

Mobius turns and vanishes in an ice storm. Lancelot begins laughing

Lancelot: It's begun! Our final phase has begun! You're finished, Seven Stars! Finished!

He begins laughing as all the Seven Stars look concerned

In a garage, Leon is working on a motorcycle. Two more stop some time away and a man gets off.

???: Thanks for taking me here

??? 2: No problem. Are you sure you want to do this?

???: ….Yeah.

??? 2: Alright then.

The other person drives off. He slowly walks towards the garage. He stops and clenches his fist briefly. He stops hesitating and then walks inside the garage.

Leon: I don't give autographs when I'm working.

???: I'm not here about that

Leon looks up and sees Axel standing there

Leon: Axel? What are you doing here?

Axel: Leon….I have a favor to ask you.

Leon: Is that any way to ask a favor? You say, "Excuse me Mr. Leon, can you take time out of your life to help me with my stupid problem?"

Axel: If I'm such a bother I'll come back later

Leon: Wait, no. That was a joke kid, jeez. You're a friend of Yusuke, so I can't ignore you. So, what do you want?

Axel: I…I want you to teach me Accel Synchro

Leon sits there a moment digesting what he heard. He sighs and then snorts. Axel looks confused as Leon breaks into laughter

And since he was summoned this way, his level rises to 4 [ATK 300/DEF 600 LV 3-4]. Now I Normal Summon the Tuner monster Attack Gainer [ATK 0/DEF 0 LV 1]

Axel: A Tuner and a non-Tuner…no way!

Axel: Gr…this guy really is good. Guess I shouldn't have turned a blind eye to his record. But…who knows how that guy is treating Silver right now.

He has a vision of Greg picking his teeth with the card

The vision ends and Axel growls

Axel: That's his Synchro-Tuner. Is he…?

Leon: Relax. There's no way I'm wasting Accel Synchro on you. There's no need. I'm going to finish you off with just plain Synchro monsters. I use Speed Spell- Angel Baton. Since my Speed Counters are 2 or more, I draw 2 cards and discard one [Dark Resonator]. Now I summon Dark Bug [ATK 100/DEF 100 LV 1]. Axel: What?

Leon: I activate Speed Spell- Synchro Return. This card can be used if I have 5 or more Speed Counters. This lets me summon a Synchro monster that has been removed from play. I summon Hunter Viking [ATK 2200/DEF 200 LV 5]

Axel: These two monsters….oh no!

Leon speeds up tremendously

Leon: I tune my level 4 Synchro-Tuner Quad-Arm Samurai and my level 5 Synchro monster Hunter Viking.

Artillery slowly looks up and blasts apart Fortress. Axel cries in pain as he loses life [Axel LP = 600]

Axel: Sorry, I've still got life left. You should have used Neo Speed World

Leon: Nah, that would have been overkill. Whenever Artillery Warrior destroys an opposing monster in battle, he deals that monster's attack points as damage to the opponent. Fortress Dragon had 2400 attack points. Therefore, you take 2400 points of damage

Axel: Impossible!

Artillery blasts Axel one more time and he falls off his bike [Axel LP = 0]

Luna: No way….I set a card and end my turn. I was hoping that would be enough…but how I can keep fighting at this rate?

Luna: I don't mind. I enjoyed fighting with you.

Chaos erupts from the ground. Luna turns to it as wind sucks it into a tube as Urma closes it

Lady Urma: Wow. This is quite a lot. Nice job Demiurge. I guess this wasn't a total waste of time.

Luna: You….who are you?!

Lady Urma: Who am I? What a stupid question. My name is Urma though. That's U, R, M, A. Now then, come along Demiurge

Lady Demiurge: What? But anyone who loses is kicked out of the Knights

She runs over and grabs Demiurge, holding her sword to Demiurge's throat

They walk over to him. The earth swallows them up and they are gone

The feathers hit the barrier and vanish.

It shoots a stream of fire and rips apart Infinity. The fire hits Angelo as he hisses [Angelo LP = 2800]

Yusuke: Now that your monster has been destroyed, half of its power is dealt to you as damage.

Fire hits him again [Angelo LP = 2150]

Angelo: I…I still stand!

Yusuke: Trap card, Relentless Attacks. This lets me monster attack once more. Strike him down. This is for Neo

It shoots fire and Angelo is blown away by the fire and blows away into the wall. He slides to the ground [Angelo LP = 0]

Angelo: It can't be…the Dual Cherubs have been beaten…

The doors are unlocked. Yusuke runs over to Neo

Yusuke: Neo! Neo! Are you awake?!

Neo: Yeah…I'm fine.

Diablo: Darn…I won't let this go!

He stands up again and runs towards the two. They flinch when someone shoots Diablo through the chest. He gasps and falls to the ground

Angelo: Diablo!

Armen: Sorry. But I must place you under arrest.

Police officers surround him. Angelo moves back and huddles against the wall as he is shot all over

Angelo: This wasn't how it was supposed to be! We were just supposed to get paid and go home! This isn't what was promised! This isn't….

He falls unconscious

Armen: Stun bullets. They'll be fine in a few hours. Now then, let's get you out of here.

Yusuke: Right.

The two leave the building and see their friends

Alicia: Yusuke, thank goodness! Are you hurt?

Yusuke: Nah. I'm doing alright.

Neo: Yeah, I've felt worse.

Armen: Terribly sorry the tour didn't go as planned. Perhaps we could schedule for another time?

Yusuke: That would be nice. But if you ask me, I'd have enough for a while

Armen: Understandable. Well then, have a nice time. And you…I hope to see more of your skills at the ROFGP

He puts a hand on Neo's shoulder, grins, and walks off. Neo shivers and puts a hand to his shoulder

Yusuke: Are you okay?

Neo: Yeah….don't worry. That man….I still don't get a good feeling

Much later, Armen is seated

Armen: He still didn't use it. I'm getting impatient. I believe it's time…for you to go to work and perform that favor…

Lightning flashes as someone is standing in the shadows. Lightning flashes again and the figure is gone.

Episode 69: The Trap of AllTech?!

In an apartment complex, a man wearing yellow and white is at a desk typing rapidly on a computer. Another man wearing red and black walks into the room yawning and opens a fridge.

Yellow: It's about time you woke up Diablo

Diablo: Shut it Angelo, my head aches. We got any of that pizza from last night leftover?

Angelo: Well I'm sorry I go to bed early. You spend all night partying and getting drunk.

Diablo: Least I'm cool. I don't waste all my time on the computer and at least have some fun

He pops open a pizza box and begins eating. Angelo opens an email box and sees a new message. Diablo walks over and looks at the screen

Diablo: A new job?

Angelo: It would appear so. …Would you get away!? You're dripping tomato sauce all over the computer!

Diablo: Alright, alright! Jeez…

Angelo reads the email as Diablo pours some orange juice and drinks it down. Angelo grins as he reads the message

Diablo: So? We taking the job? Pay high?

Angelo: Oh yes. Do we accept?

Diablo: I'll say yes. Send him a reply.

Opening

At Yusuke's home, Neo wakes up. He sits up on the sofa and yawns. He picks up his deck on the table and walks into the kitchen. Yusuke's dad is in there cooking as Yusuke is already seated

Yusuke: Morning!

Neo: Yeah. Good morning…

Yurashima: Breakfast would be ready in just a few minutes.

Neo: Good. I'm starved.

Yusuke: Well come on already. Sit down. You don't usually eat standing up, do you?

Neo: Oh, sorry!

He sits down as he is given a plate of food. Yurashima sits down as well. Neo picks up a fork, but stops when Yurashima and Yusuke fold their hands

All 3: Thanks for the food!

Yusuke begins eating. Neo slowly picks at his food and eats it. He chews without his expression changing.

Yurashima: What's wrong? It's not good?

Neo: Oh…no. It tastes great. I guess…I just feel sort of out of it today.

Yurashima: You want me to make you something specific?

Neo: No, don't do that. This is fine.

Yusuke finishes his breakfast and grabs his school bag

Yusuke: I'm off.

Yurashima: Have a good day

Neo: See you.

Yusuke heads out the door. Yurashima finishes eating and stands up too, grabbing his briefcase.

Yurashima: I'm going to work. Are you going to be alright here by yourself?

He heads out the door. Neo finishes his food and washes his dish. He sits on the couch again and just lies there. He pets Minko without thinking

Alicia: Hey Yusuke.

Teacher: Alright students, that's enough. Please take your seats. Now before we begin, I have some big news. Sokuji Armen himself gave our room the chance to go on a field trip to AllTech this weekend

Teacher: I need you to sign these permission slips before you can go, because it will be an all day event. The event will be a tour of the facility, meeting Sokuji Armen himself, and a lunch.

Yusuke: An all day event…

He smiles as tests are handed out. Angelo and Diablo are standing before the man in the shadows

Diablo: Hoo boy. These are some sweet cards.

Angelo: So all we have to do is beat these two kids with these cards?

Man: That is all. Will that be a problem?

Diablo: You're kidding right? We'll take the job!

Angelo: I warn you though; we require a small fee in advance.

The man snaps his fingers as henchmen bring in a bag. They spill out all the money inside onto the table.

Diablo: Jackpot!

Angelo pushes his glasses up and he grins as the light reflects off the lenses. Neo is sitting reading a book when Yusuke walks in

Neo: Hey.

Yusuke: What are you doing this Saturday?

Neo: This Saturday? I guess I was just going to go on a long walk.

Yusuke: You're coming with me on my field trip this weekend.

Neo: I am? I don't know…

Yusuke: Come on. All you do is sit around the house all the time. You need to get out there and do something.

Neo: Well…

Yusuke: Come on, AllTech is really great! They're going to be having a big lunch and a tour of the facility.

Neo: All…Tech? Well…I guess I could…

Yusuke: Alright then! This weekend's going to be a blast!

Neo: Yeah…

He looks down. At night, Yusuke is asleep as Neo is wide awake, staring at a card in his hand

Neo: AllTech…AllTech…that name won't leave my mind. Could this be the clue I was looking for that?

In the morning, Yusuke and Neo are on D- Wheels.

Both drive off. Neo puts a hand to his chest as he thinks

They park in front of AllTech and join the crowd

Teacher: So this is your friend Yusuke?

Neo: That's right. My name is Neo

Teacher: Nice to have you on the trip.

The door opens as Armen steps out. Students instantly begin clapping

Armen: Welcome. It is an honor to show such young people the life blood I have created. Now, let's get started right away if you want to see everything. Come along now.

He turns around as the kids follow. Neo seems a little unsure as he watches Armen. Armen turns and Neo freezes up. Armen only smiles and Neo tries to smile back. The students pass the lobby with people typing on computers. Two people in a cubicle see them past and put down their cups of coffee, walking away. Armen leads everyone into a large assembly line

Armen: This is called the build floor. This is where we build our inexpensive and effective technology. Every worker, be it they lift heavy things or screw on bolts, are given the same pay. Here at AllTech, we try to keep our image real as the company for everyone.

Dex: I have a question sir. AllTech is sponsoring the Riders of Fate Grand Prix. But why? Don't you have enough money?

Armen: Such a smart young lad. Well, I'm not doing it for the money. I want to give everyone a real show. And also…to find the ultimate duelist

Alicia: Ultimate duelist?

They both speak at the same time and their words are jumbled

Diablo: You guys are boring. All you're doing is playing defense. I'll show you. I set a monster and three cards. Turn end

Angelo: Diablo, you just played defense after criticizing us for playing defense
