Yes I have tried both versions. The 32 bit version tells me that I am trying to use a 32 bit uninstaller on a 64 bit system. And the 64 bit version is saying that it does not detect a 64 bit system.

I have been trying to download my updated drivers for my BFG 280. When I download the current files for Vista 64 bit and try to install them it says that I am trying to use a 32 bit unistaller. Then it gives me the message that I am not using a 64 bit OS? Has anyone else run into this problem.

I just got off the phone with ea. The guy told me exactly what to do. He said your running a quad core arent you? I told him I had an 8 core and he yelled JESUS CHRIST! Didnt think that the new i7 really shocked people that much. Regardless he took me through my program files and had me move the masseffect.exe file to the binaries folder. Aparently it has a habit of moving to wrong folder sometimes? But I started it up and it runs like a charm now! Now if I could just get the other games and my zboard driver to boot correctly. Thanks for all the help!

I have tried the run in compatibility and as admin options already. Unfortunatley still no luck... I just got off the phone with microsoft support... They said they can help me! For $59.99... Aparently they show no support for system builders. The guy I was on the phone with in some 3rd world country (which by the way isnt it strange that we have to call people in un-technilogicaly advanced countries to figure out how to fix our problems?) said that I had to go to support.microsoft.com Which isnt even microsofts support site!!!

I really dont know what else to do. Half my games dont work and the other half are running really slugish, and on my system that should not be happening.

Have to say that after 2 days using this OS I hate it. I am having so many compatibility issues that it makes running games almost impossible. When I have made sure to download all my current drivers for all my hardware. Yet I still seem to be having issues. I installed Tomb Raider Anniversary, Mass Effect, and Janes USAF earlier tonight and none of these will even load. I keep getting the message, Configuration Utility has stopped with Mass Effect. I had to take a back door to even get Tomb Raider to install. When I boot my zboard driver has a 50/50 chance of loading correctly.

If anyone has any idea as to what the hell is going on with this please let me know. I have read up on the problems and it seems that everything has to be run an administrator. I have set everything up to and still no change. So far my new rig is really turning into a $2,500 decoration....

Just finished building my rig. Everything has been running great! Only thing is i occasionally run into a problem with installing. I have tried to install Left4Dead 3 times. I keep getting a message saying steam is unable to update? When I turned my computer on this morning i got a message saying that the drivers for my zboard are not working properly. And whenI tried to install WoW Burning Crusade last night it ended at about 60% and said that it was unable to continue because one of the files is in use.

Anybody have any possible solutions for me?

I just got my rig put together! Gotta say that I wish I would have started PC gaming years ago. I went ahead and got another WD Caviar Black 1T 32MB 7200RPM. I was going to get a 120hz samsung with the nvidia 3d glasses but they didnt have it in stock at Best Buy so I went ahead and got dual Samsung 2333's. I have more monitor than I do TV and they have a better picture.

I do have a question about overclocking. I was looking in my BIOS while doing my setup last night and i decided that I had no idea what i was doing so i left everything dealing with clocking alone. Is there a good article that I can read to familiarize myself with the process? I really want to get the most performance this thing has to offer. When I started fallout 3 while ago it was running a little slugish on the opening video though... What would most likely solve this problem? Get another 280 and SLI the 2? I played Crysis for about 20 minutes and it was running great on very high but did seem a little smoother on high.

I have heard great things about the Cooler Master V8. I just ordered my new rig and got the Core i7 920, went with the V8 for my cooler. I'll see how well it works when i get home monday.

Ordered it from tigerdirect.com Was using mwave but for some reason they decided they were too good for my credit card. Sucks cause I would have come out about $200 bucks cheaper... Final cost is $1,900 and from what I can tell its alot more powerful than anything alienware has to offer for that price range.
