Is it just me or has the whole April Fools thing been blown way out of proportion? When I saw the gamespot front page thing I thought, oh yeah that must've taken loads of time and effort. Then I watched the Major Nelson thing and was like, okay cool they made graphics for all the fake products. Then I see the MGS4 thing and I'm like woah, do these companies have nothing else to do, and then finally seeing this zelda trailer I was just in awe.

I mean, that trailer had CGI, locations, graphics, actors, costumes and everything. I have no idea how IGN could put something together like that. sure, as an actual film it would be hilariously bad, but it's scarily convincing. I still don't get how or why they did it.. April Fools isn't even that big of a thing... So confused.

Pretty darn cool if you ask me. You can tell in that video how excited Jeff is about it. Some Rich wouldn't be bad either - if he would only quit his job...

I remember paying £50 (100 dollars) for Majora's Mask back on the N64 - good game, but obscenely overpriced. I don't care what you guys say about economies and whatnot - $60 isn't too shabby.

Not to say I wouldn't prefer cheaper games, but think about how many years and how much effort and money it takes to make a half decent game. Michael Pachter (an analyst) once said that he thinks video games are underpriced.

If i'm honest I don't know much about frontlines fuel of war but I think army of two looks quite cool - they've had loads of extra time to fix all the issues the reviewers complained about a few months ago.

As far as multiplayer goes, I think it's all two on two. There are some modes where you just fight and stuff, but I think the coolest one is this obstacle course thing where the two teams have to get to the finish and avoid being killed by the others at the same time.

I thought 2008 wouldn't be able to top 07 but after GDC I'm confident that it will - there are so many great games coming out that it's insane.

  • Gears 2
  • Fracture
  • Castle Crashers
  • Bionic Commando
  • BC rearmed
  • Rock Band (UK)
  • GTA 4
  • Ninja Gaiden 2
  • APB
  • Mercenaries 2
  • Army of Two

And more...

Do you think 2008 will be better than 07?

I never thought about this before but it's really annoying that even though all live arcade games are only priced in 400 point increments, you can only buy points in 500 point increments. I want to buy rez HD which costs 800 but I'll have to buy 1000 points. It seems pretty stupid - why can't you just buy 800 points? Also I want to get poker smash but in order to get both I would have to buy 2000 points, meaning I get 400 extra which I don't have any need for. I suppose I could buy a crappy old little game as well but I really don't want one.

Why don't they either make games 1000 points (and make the points cheaper) or allow you to buy 800 points?
