@doctorvanbosh: I don't think it'll affect the story. It's 300 years into the future and when has PUBG had any story? It seems like they wanted to "connect" it to PUBG cause they're working with them and obviously to get sales off PUBG.
Well they certainly didn't give two sh*ts with nightmare difficulty in GoT Legends. Every enemy in that mode is a sword sponge and feels like I'm whacking enemies with a foam bat. Why did they forget to do this type of balance in Legends confuses the absolute hell out of me.
@Maxx_the_Slash: Cause maybe they don't have anything interesting in moves in comparison to their fused self Kefla. I'll take Kefla over a Kale and Caulifla any day. Especially in a game like FighterZ.
@Husker42C: It really is, this is why Ubisoft is probably my least favorite developer even if developers like EA and Activision exist. EA and Activision just don't surprise me, meanwhile Ubisoft just manages to really piss me off with everything they do to beloved franchises like Rainbow 6 and Ghost Recon.
@nikolistary: "I get your points but times change"
It doesn't matter if times change? Just feels like your entire comment here is full of made up excuses and reasons. Especially when you say this, "More people are wanting their games like AC and 'Ghost Recon' to be more RPG-y." Like where are you getting your source of information? Ghost Recon being more "RPG-y" is one of the main reasons why it failed(Not to mention caused them to delay their games) along with trying to be a looter shooter and being completely grindy just to sell their dumb time savers. No offense but it feels like everyone trying to defend Breakpoint can't really find any good reasons to defend it.
"They might be worse in terms of narrative/story, but they make up for it tenfold making the game FUN with FUN mechanics and systems"
Sure cause traveling incredibly far distances in an unnecesarily huge open world with no chatter between team mates(Oh wait that's cause there isn't any) or a radio station to listen to just to investigate something sure is FUN. Oh yeah lets also make it super grindy and less of a Ghost Recon game by making it a looter shooter and have bullet sponge enemies cause EVERYONE sure loves those...
All Ubisoft needed to do was make Ghost Recon Breakpoint a linear title(Because lets be real the open world in this game is one of the worst ever made), take out the unnecessary looter shooter system, remove the lite RPG mechanics, and make the levels open ended and much more story driven. It'll take ACTUAL work I know Ubisoft but you can do it. Too bad Ubisoft is probably too dense to make a Ghost Recon game like that.
@nikolistary: "I really don't get the hate for Breakpoint"
Cause maybe it's a mess of a game that tries to play itself as a looter shooter which isn't what Ghost Recon is. This is why Ubisoft is such a terrible developer. They're so bad at making games that they just resort to making their franchises into looters and "Lite RPGs" with forgettable storylines just to stick their terrible microtransactions into it. Only one they haven't screwed up yet is Watch Dogs. At least it bit them in the ass with Breakpoint causing them to delay their games.
