Even though I don't wont to bring up an old thread like this, (Google Search) I feel I should put in my input. This game can definitly be co-op with one other person without hurting the single player experience/immersiveness.
All they would have to do is make everything real-time, so the game doesn't pause when another player needs to access his inventory. Thats why there's the d-pad for quick access. Same thing with resting. Why not put an option where both players have to agree to rest? Then for fast-travel, just create a "teleport to friend" scroll/spell.
For every problem there's a solution.
If you still think this will hurt the single player, shut up. You have the option to NOT play it co-op.
To all the players who would not purchase this game, because it has some form of multiplayer, Yeah, thats a lie.
