Have you noticed? All the last gen systems (except the ps2) are all practically dead now. Gamespot has basically closed down the pages, and production of games has virtually ceased. The gba with the ds, the xbox with the 360, the gc with the wii, and the ps3 is too expensive and innaccessable to replace the ps2 yet.
1) Microsoft has cut off support for the Xbox 1 (pretty much shooting it in the head)
2) If that didn't kill it, all thrid party support is gone too, and there isn't another new release planned. EVER. There is not going to be another new Xbox 1 game or system produced. Unlike the gamecube or the ps2, no store is even selling a NEW Xbox 1 system. At least the gamecube went down with dignity (Zelda: Twilight Princess), the ps2 is still running, but the Xbox 1 is sitting in its coffin right now.
