well i was pretty sure that i was going to buy gears of war 2 but now i'm pre-ordering as fast as i can.. and it comes out on my birthday.. nice

fable 2 is also another one that i can't wait for now... sure i did feel a little let down with the first fable but i still enjoyed it actually now peter has the hardware to make what he really wanted out of fable 1.. can't wait

On topic, I have to say yes. This year gave us games that got 10's when maybe they didnt deserve it, maybe they did, and even greater ones are coming out like Gears of War 2, Rock Band 2, Guitar Hero World Tour, Banjo Kazooie, Fallout 3, Halo Wars, Red Alert 3, and more.

basically what trickshot771 said ..longer way of saying it though is games with maybe a high-budget then hype, polished audio and graphics, mainstream ( not always needed to be call AAA though )and stuff like that.
