The only reason I don't call OoT overrated is because many ppl actually say it's great and it sorta ''defined'' 3D adventure and took things to a level never done before.

But to me that's not what I see. What I really think of it is that many of it's concepts weren't that great and it wasn't that fun either, the best concept of the game was the time-swap.

I consider many other games on it's own time to be better including own Zelda's Majora's Mask, Mario 64, Half life, Goldeneye, MGS etc..

Many are actually just OoT fanboys. Notice how many of these ''fans'' didn't actually complain about TP, it was mostly the other group and haters, ppl who just don't find it that great who exploited the ''rehash'' argument.

I don't find the game that special. I really find both MM and WW much more fun and with better concepts than OoT.

Agreed that VC is overall much better than SA. Though I don't consider them ''epic''. One could argue that some of the missions are epic in the game context/setting (The Job was an ''epic'' mission) but they don't really feel too much like that.

An opus of grand scale and size, dealing with larger-than-life characters and invirnments, where the player is constantly struck by a sense of awe at some moment of grandeur or twist. Generally involved a good story and more importantly inspires awe.osirisomeomi

I agree with this except that its only about ''size''. I'd add a great mind-twisting plot to that definition as well.

but the whole point of the word 'overrated' is that it is treated as better than it really is. Ubisoft is pretty much accepted as a second rate developer. (plus AC is going to be awesome)

SE on the other hand is pretty much repected throughout the industry, which I don't understand because all they did is stick to the same formula again and again (not to mention the endless ports and remakes and spin-offs they do)hamstergeddon

Ubisoft was treated as a second rate developer until almost the end of last gen when, I dunno where, a lot of esteem for them showed up. I should have said that I don't think they are the most overrated but still find they are.

Snake has no familiarites to any type of Soldier, Seal, Marine or otherwise.

The story is saying that he is some sort of a SF type, they arent specific, thank god because that certainly wouldnt be justice to that branch of the military.

I say he is a pansy, because his actions, one being he cant kill a traitor who is causing harm to him, his comrades, and his country.

Through my experience with the military, this makes this man a unrealistic character, and now realism has something to do with my judgement on who is more badass.

Other things include him being based on other media being movies like Escape from New York, a horrible movie, and 007 which he is nothing like.

That is how realism comes into play, along with other things
