Micrsoft need to get serious in 2010 and do the following...

Ditch the HDless arcade model and replace with a version with HD for about the same price

Include wireless in all consoles. Selling wireless as an addon (a really expensive one) makes the 360 a really bad value proposition for anyone needing to connect wirelessly.

As things stand the 360 is just too damn expensive when compared to the PS3 slim.

wasn`t last month its best selling month ever?????

No. Where did you get that ridiculous idea?

Better how? At failing, at not playing blu ray movies, at not allowing free online play? Or maybe better graphics. What is it you mean

...the xbots would be screaming about how this is absolute cast iron proof that the 360 is more powerful. Because they aren't they make feeble excuses about the poor ol' 360 not getting game sufficently optimised for the platform. So there argument is that the 360 is more pwoerful, but don't expect to ever see any proof in terms of game graphics.

The PS3 was alwasy quieter than the 360, didn't have the ridiculous power brick, and in it's slim incarnation has both CPU and GPU at 45nm. The 360 by comparision has suffered an abnormally high failure rate, has a huge power brick and ridiculously bulky power connector. The worst hardware revisions sound like a jet taking off, and even the Jasper revision is far from being 'quiet'.

Microsoft's 2010 is looking almost as weak as this year. Might as well rename the 360 the HaloBox.

Halo 3

Halo 3: ODST

Halo Wars

Halo Reach

Short on quality franchises much? Jeez.

PS3 slim 120GB- £229.99

Xbox 360 Elite 120GB= £189.99

For a mere £40 more you get

Built-in wifi and bluetooth

Blu-ray

Free online play

Controller with internal rechargable battery

The Xbox 360 is overpriced now I think, the Arcade model needs to be scrapped and the Elite needs to drop to under £150

Seems all the console graphics king games have been PS3 exclusives for ages now. If both are supposedly about equal in terms of power, why isn't it showing up in the graphics. All this rubbish about the 360 not having had any custom engines made for it, why not? The 360 is afterall backed by the largest software company in the world, a company with incredibly deep pockets. Why hasn't Microsoft funded the development of a game engine to be used by their first party developers that gets every ounce of of the console? The more likely explaination is that the 360 is just about tapped and their is little to be gained from such an undertaking. The 360 was easier to develop for and got maxed out pretty quickly.

If you think the margin is small you have not played both games. The texture work in gear of war 2 is awful.
