You have a source on that date? I've seen absolutely nothing on an arcade release date for CS. Hell, they only just started location tests for it over the past month. Maybe you're confusing the date with the release of CT, which came out on November 20, 2008 in arcades. jt4mtb

It's been confirmed on dustloop.

sauce: Click

Of course this is a Sequel :P (even if it is the next chapter to the first one..)
Before it is a Story-based Game, it's a Fighting Game.

New Characters, New Moves, Rebalancing, New Stages and other minor stuff easily make this a Sequel.Shoooryuken

That would make Super SFIV a sequel too o_o

I think CS is more like what Double Impact or Third Strike were to SFIII.

And btw, your avy. UBW?

Man, I was just gonna post this D: I'm really loving the new artwork. But, I don't think continuum shift is a sequel. More like, the next chapter in the first installment.

Nice. This is probably pasted all over the BB:CS board, but I haven't had the chance to linger there yet today. We probably won't see this hit consoles for awhile yet considering CT only hit arcades about a year ago, and that didn't hit consoles until 7 months afterward. jt4mtb

CS hits arcades on the 20th of November. So the console release should be early next year.

I really need to buy CT. Well, I guess Tekken 6 won't get my money.Leon_Kennedy1

Good idea :)

MGS4 > U2.

GTAIV is not, at least IMO.

Puckhog04

I agree with this. Not to mention GTA is pretty overrated.

LOL, they give high scores based on hype. Every hyped game gets a 9 or something at IGN.

metalgear-solid
Not true. Assassin's Creed was hyped like **** and they gave it below an 8 while most other big review sites gave it 9+. But they are pretty generous with their scores at times, irrespective of hype. *thinks about folklore*

2D Fighting games always get underated. thecreechxxx
Fix'd. And that was only the case last gen. IGN's also given Blazblue a 9.4 and SF4 a 9.3 so far this gen.

I don't think it's underrated. It's actually rated very fairly imo. I have the game and I play it on occasion, but the learning curve is SO steep and there will always be players that can destroy you before you even know they're there. Sure it's fun for the players that are really good, but it makes for an incredibly frustrating time for the people they're playing against. If you're playing against other "noobs" in the game then it's semi-enjoyable. Not quite on par with other online games imo, but it gets the job done.

Actually, that's kinda what made it all the more satisfying for me when I got better.

I have quite a few favourites this gen.

Heavenly Sowrd was just ok but Bohan was an awesmome villain.

Then there's Sho Minamimoto from The World ends with You.

and Haku-men from Blazblue although he's more of a boss character than a villain.
